Better to be ill this week than next.
Getting annoyed right now, there's much to do still and not long to go. But my OH's having to do more hours at work as some kind person walked out yesterday, meaning they are really short staffed. So our next bit of time together is next Thursday (wedding next Saturday). Doesn't leave a lot of time really to get stuff sorted.

whoah, its all getting busy now. Sorry about your OH's job vesper. That's a bit rubbish.

18 days to go, and I'm exhausted and have no hope of getting a day off or even an early finish until I go off in 2 weeks. I have to work 9 hours a day til then. I've hurt my back and I have shin splints so I can't go to the gym, I have an ear infection and my face has broken out in massive, sore spots (I don't normally get spots on my face). i'm panicking that my dress wont fit as I can't exercise and that's aggravating my IBS so my tummy is swollen!!! :(:(

However, just had my makeup trial with my bridesmaid and she's so good. She covered up the majority of the spots (no small feat - they're like bright red throbby mountains) and made my eyes really pop

Final dress fitting is on Saturday. Everything we need has arrived.

    It's so close:j:j:j

Hello ladies and gents! Hope those of you that have been poorly are starting to feel better now. But at least you are getting illnesses out of the way now! And, one advantage is that being poorly may help you lose weight if you want to! LOL!

Am so glad I don't have the stress and last minute things you all have to do! I'm not sounding smug about it - I would be a complete and utter basket case, and a total Bridezilla if I had to be dealing with fish bowls and fairylights and things two weeks or so before my wedding!

Doing it abroad has been easier in a lot of ways, though definitely no cheaper with the rate the Euro is at at the moment! :(

Vesper - doesn't hubby get Bank Holiday off? Hope you've got family and friends around to help with last minute stuff.

Hope your dress fitting went wel s23xy_c! I've got mine on Saturday and it really needs to be okay, otherwise it will mean another trip to Manchester (from Cambridge!) the following weekend! Not looking forward to packing it myself, but just isn't convenient to get to the dressmakers for her to pack it for me.

    D-day -18days for me. Gulp. :D
    Jo x

Yes OH has Bank Holiday off but I don't and am working a double shift. None of our family members have helped except my wonderful Aunt who made the cake for us, in fact our parents seem completely disinterested except for moaning at me that I am being inconsiderate as I am not going over their every couple of days. Like I have time!!!
But I do have some wonderful friends that are helping me set up next friday.

Just found out our venue has a football match on (great one as we run the venue) and it can't be cancelled so really hoping they are finished by the time we arrive, although I hightly doubt it. So now I have to put up with waiding through moaning footballers and the football results in the room blasting out. Good job I am friends with the managers and I can see if I can organise something, as there isn't enough staff to cope with it without me going on the bar

Dress fitting went well, still to go back up next week tho as a few things needed fixed.
Ive still to buy organza bags for my favours then I can get them made up,
Managed to find another pair of bridesmaid shoes in the sale so now they are all the same and I finished buying all their presents too, just to pick up something for my page biy and a few gift bags and I think the gifts are all sorted.
I had arranged to get a letter sent from Rangers Football Club for my Fiance but its not arrived yet so might need to think of something else for him now.
I have a rare extra day off tomorrow so going to try and work on songs for my cd for registry office and hopefully thats another thing off my list.
Im having to wait in tomorrow as my mums dress is being delivered to my house at some point so can actually catch up on housework and sit down and go through wedding lists to see what else I still have to do.

Waslking down aisle to Bruno Mars - Marry you and think we are going for signed sealed delivered for signing register.
First dance Queen your my best friend cutting into everyday im shuffling and then into a few dance songs like YMCA etc, having a flash mob for the first dance lol.

Got a school reunion tomorrow night too, hoping I dont see too many ppl I like to invite to the wedding at nite think I might have over invited already lol.

    Speak to uz all soon

    xxx

Oh dear, that's a bit pants - both Bank Holiday and lack of help! Families can't win though can they? They either show too much interest, more commonly known as interfering, or appear completely disinterested!

I was going to say something about being surrounded by fit, healthy young men - but if it's a local football team it probably won't be quite like that! LOL! ;)
