But as we all know.. it will all be fine and soon we will be married to the loves of our lives .. and that really is all that matters ... isnt it!!??!:rotfl:

Less than 5 weeks to go here! A month on Wednesday!!!! Luckily the organising is going pretty well and after a very long talk with the parents today, they are coming to the wedding. My Dad is even going to buy a new suit, I refused to submit to his joke about wearing his only suit which happens to be the wonderful brown velvet one he got married in, in the mid-70's. Ewwww.
Although apparently today I am supposed to be psychic. I was told orginally my sister was on holiday when we were getting married, so wouldn't be there as it couldn't be easily cancelled. Ok fair enough, the wedding was booked ages after her wedding, what ever. Oh talks with sister ages ago, yes she is defintely away then. Send invite anyway to be polite. No answer, but presumed it was because we know what is happening. Today get asked by my parents why I haven't spoken to my sister (apart from the phone call and invite) as she can make the wedding after all but was waiting for me to ask her again. How many sodding invites does one person need? grrrrr.
Getting fed up in some ways now and can't wait for it to be here. We only have a small home and it's full of wedding stuff. I no longer have a kitchen work top as it's full of my cake.
Although just had another dress fitting and am so happy with the dress. It just needs hemming now and is finished. Even better its being took up so much that the mucky marks at the bottom and within the hem so won't be seen, so I don't have to get it dry cleaned now.

31 days to go....eeeekkk!! there's still such a lot to do!

how is everyone else getting on and feeling about it all? I'm really excited but so worried that things arent going to go right.

I was wondering if any of you have sorted out your underwear? I know this is a bit or a personal question but I've not thought about it in detail until now, and now I dont know what to wear my dress is white, does that mean I should wear white underwear? because I dont really like the white underwear, it looks nicer in ivory lol and my dress is perfect without a bra or corset or anything so should I just bother about knickers or get a set especially for the night time? also, stockings...do I wear the white/ivory ones that match the underwear but might look a bit ghastly with peep toe shoes or do I go for nude stockings? am I being silly worrying about something like this?

I've bought my underwear already, but I fully expect the woman doing my alterations to veto it. I don't have any boning in my dress so I've got a basque, matching knickers and a garter. Just in case, I've also got a strapless bra and I'll get some stockings later on. My shoes are closed toe.

If you don't need any support under your dress, don't bother and just get something pretty for the night.

I'd say the white ones stockings would look awful with the shoes unless you could get the toeless ones.

Went shopping with my mum for her shoes and bag and bought a bag for myself (in the sale for £5) and then borrowed a bracelet from my mum which will be my something borrowed and something blue.

Have also called a wary truce to the family thing, not because I'm ok with what happened, but because I can't think about it anymore.

Last round of invites going out tomorrow.

I've got my underwear sorted but only because my dress was being altered and I needed to chose a bra to sort out the fitting. My pants are a bit of a joke really between me and my OH as I can't stand fancy underwear and didn't want to wear something normal so am weaing Back to the Future boxer shorts (don't laugh!).
The butterflies are really setting in now, especially as my friend dropped my wedding dress off earlier at work. And it's the last time I am going to see a lot of my friends before the big day. Was great to actually sit down with another girl this afternoon and discuss wedding plans as she got engaged at the same time as me.
Luckily its all little things to sort now. Still got transport to sort though, which is driving me crazy as Oh just keeps saying that he'll sort something out, but he's already got his lift sorted out. Would love to go in my Dad's lotus, but think my hair will get messed up, and I don't think I could strap my MOH to the back of it.

Haha vesper, love the boxers! Wish I'd thought of that! Although h2b is so used to my mismatched, comfy underwear that I think he probably deserves to see me in something matching.

34 days to go. Last of our invites have finally gone out or will have if I remember to post them. Major butterflies.

Eeeek almost 23 days tO go for me, getting very excited. Re underwear I have just bought some pretty shorts £20 not very mse lol as I don't need a bra as the dress supports me.

Had a bit of a panic last night, found out the girl doing my hair is leaving the salon and didn't think to ring and let me know, found out by chance so managed to get sorted with another one, won't be having another trial as can't afford it but I know what I want so should be ok.

Makeup trial at clinique counter tomorrow and hen do Friday night

It's 23 days and counting for us. Are you all finished organising now or have you got quite a few things left to do? I've got the following to get sorted:
~music playlist
~three craft projects
~confirm attendance and accommodation arrangements
~find 20 table cloths and sew 20 table runners
~put a whole batch of silly games together for the afternoon
~book a generator for the marquee (hire for £100 direct or £600 through the marquee company!)
~go and buy all the wine and beer from the wholesalers

Hello ladies (and gents?),

You all sound organised and quite calm. Ah, the joy of having a wedding organiser! No, I'm not posh - it's because we are getting wed abroad and it made sense to use someone who speaks the language and can cco-ordinate things there. So most of my stress and organisation was over about 4 months ago, when I had to get all my orders to her!

My only worry now is getting to the weight I want to be (especially with final dress fitting on Bank Hol weekend) and worrying about whether I have enough decoration at the reception venue. Got to do fill an ipod with songs - and that's the first thing OH2B has shown much interest in!

Oh just remembered - wedding rings! We are going to buy them there so I hope there is plenty of choice of sizes! Don't want to be waiting for a ring hours before the wedding!!

Will be busy for the first few days of hol with meetings, final arrangements, tastings and menu choices. And trying to keep one of my bridesmaids from organising everyone into a corner! She is more excited than I am and is driving me potty with her handbag choice, her hairstyle choice, her shoes, this, that and the other!!!

25 days to go till the big day. Eeek :eek:
