I went to Ikea on Thursday night and got hte mirrors for my centre pieces along with tea lights and holders so just needing the flowers to go in the bowl now.

When are you all having your dress fittings etc? My dress is in my mums the now, would love to hold off another wee bit before getting it adusted etc

My first fitting is almost a month before the wedding, and the final one is 2 weeks before.

We got our wooden rose centrepieces and got some hurricane lanterns and candles reduced to £3 each in tesco for the evening, finally decided on the cake designs, and have sent out the majority of our day invitations.

Cor what I would do to have 11 weeks left. 9 weeks for us. Won't be able to get much done this week as the OH is away for the week with his cricket team on tour (watch out Blackpool), they seem to have decided its his stag night as well one of the nights. Last thing I hear was them discussing whether he was going to be dressed up as banana man or Wonderwoman.
Finally plucked up the courage to ask my friend to be the Maid of Honor, was putting it off as didn't want to affend one of my other mates. But decided that life is too short, and had got pretty wound up as earlier in the day someone had had the cheek to ask why their precious little daughter wasn't my bridesmaid. Errrr maybe because I didn't want her to be.
Things finally seem to be slotting into place now, the last of the evening invites have been written, the hog roast is booked and my dress is nearly ready.

Ive jsut done the same, asked my best friend to be my chief bridesmaid, hadnt wanted to ask her for fear of offending everyone els,e but im past caring now lol, shes there for me all the time so it makes perfect sense.
Im going to go see the reception venue this week, not met teh new chef yet so need to do that and confirm prices and find out when they want it all paid by.
Lets hope we have this lovely sunshine in September :D

My dress should be finished apart from final hemming this weekend, so excited as last time I saw it it was full of pins. My MOH came round yesterday for the task of finding her a dress and discussing what needed to be done. Was a great afternoon, and for the first time with someone else writting everything down, realised that we have nearly organised everything. Everything is sorted except transport and hair appointment.
Have also decided that although we are having our proper honeymoon next year, we want to go away for a few days right after the wedding. So are planning on going down to Bournemouth to see the family that can't make it all the way up here due to health.

Hey how's everyone getting on. We've been at our venue finalising menus, details, drinks etc. Got hair trail and dress fitting on 23rd July, having a fake tan a few days before to see how that turns out. OH stag do in a couple of weekends and my hen do at the end of July. It's all coming round so fast now, I'm so excited but really stressed out at the same time.

    Anyone else feeling stressed?
