  • Hello everyone, well my day is almost upon me, had a manic day getting everything to the venue and finalised and had to send one of my sisters shopping for a bridesmaid dress as my niece has grown again!

I'm nervous but extremely excited, we are now getting a takeaway and having wine. Just hoping the weather is nice but with heavy rain forecast for the whole north west it could be a wet one :D

codemonkey - hope your cold goes away soon :)

Good luck to anyone else getting married this weekend :j

OMG its September!!!! Only 17 days to go :eek::eek:

Im totally stressing.... so much to do but i don't know what or where to start!!!

Im doing a sweetie table and i cannot find the size of scoops i want ... i need 2oz or 3oz or 4oz at the most and i can't believe how hard it is to actually find these things! I have been looking for them for over 2 months now and i cant find any ... well i can but they are not what i want!!! I want the small metal ones but all i can get is 5oz and they are just too big... i don't want people to be too greedy but i know they will be.

Im still awaiting RSVPs and i need to know who is coming....

I've still got the cold and i cant shake it. I've taken today off to get the house tidied and get some wedding stuff done but now am just sitting watching bridezillas cause i cant be bothered to move off the couch.

I wish i could get the motivation to do what i need to do and i still need to loose weight and all im doing at the moment is eating... im hungry all the time which is not helping

  • 25 days to go for me :-)

Fairly chilled about most of the organising as I think it's all under control, but I am stressing a little about 1 thing.... I have gone for a gorgeous fishtail dress, but at the fitting last week I realised that I can't lift the skirt of it up over my hips, so I think Im gonna have to take the blimmin thing off every time I go to the loo, not a major drama maybe, but I have a tiny bladder and if I have been drinking (which is pretty unavoidable at an irish wedding) I will have to go every 30 mins!!

Thinking of getting a shewee (looks a bit weird and not sure I will even be able to lift the dress up enough to use it) Anyone have the same problem?? :o

s23xy_c, sorry you're having a bad time. Its been pretty bad here too but nothing like your situation. Let's hope it's like a dress rehearsal for a play and that problems leading up to opening night mean it will go well.

I've started getting calls and emails about final arrangements for cars, the venue and the band. Eeeek. Tomorrow its a week to go and we've got a big family meet up thing. I'm supposed to make onion soup which is in the slow cooker. It's gone a bit wrong though and it tastes odd.

Autumn, no sensible suggestions about your dress, sorry. Mine is A-line, so it shouldn't be too bad. Someone suggested using the toilet the wrong way so you're facing the wall, but I dont know if that would help if you can't get it past your hips. Maybe if you got someone to hold it and stood over the toilet...

PS hurry back with pics before I go away! ;)

Just back & catching up! Thank you!! It rained all morning, then dried up just nicely in time for the wedding!

Hope all of the other September brides & grooms have as amazing a day as we did! xx
