I know, very exciting! We have ours provisionally booked but when we go back to Northern Ireland at xmas hopefully we will be able to do it

So far we've provisionally booked the venue subject to finding someone who will marry us there (is it just me or does that sentence sound like a group of girls in wedding dresses are going to turn up in the hope that someone will marry them??). I contacted the registrar but need to call back tomorrow. They were a bit rude actually so am contemplating throwing a strop with them and engaging the services of a humanist minister. I'm getting married in Scotland so that's legal.

I've also engaged the services of my bridesmaids, one of whom will hopefully take care of my makeup for me.

We've decided on a menu based on the information from the venue, we know what our first dance song will be, decided on a ceilidh and a disco but need to organise those and we have a guest list for day guests although still working on the evening list.

That's as far as we've got so far, but we have been engaged for less than a month.

Is everyone here much further on than me?

Edit: Oh and it's been decided that future husband will wear the kilt but that my dad can't be trusted when drunk not to keep flashing people, so he'll be in tartan trews.
