When my brother was little mum bought him a robin hood outfit (i think it was early learning center), my brother asked us if robin hood had a knife to which we all replied no. When we got home and brother opens the kit up he annouces to us all yes robbin hood does have a knife and pulls out a stanley knife!
Needless to say my mum complained and got loads of vouchers, bro did really well he got loads of new dressing up kits and a playhouse and quite a few other bits aswell. I'm just glad he didn't hurt himself!

Had great level of service the other week about my complaint to Primark.

Spend my gesture of goodwill and recieved appaulling customer service again in the same store.

Emailed them thanking them for dealing with my complaint but explaining that the level of CS in store is still terrible.

This was a week ago and I still haven't heard anything.

So much for good customer service. They replied the next morning last time. Wouldn't hurt to actually acknowledge the reciept of my email! And I was very nice!

got a success story to tell you
i went away with dd1 a few weeks ago, stayed in a 'premier travelinn'. we've stayed in them loads of times, and not normally any problems. this time though, we were given a double room when we'd booked a family room, the card key thing kept on not working, the heating had gone haywire and the room was like an oven, i could go on and on....

i didn't dare say/do anything at the time as i had dd1 with me, but when we got home, the more i thought about it, the more it peed me off, so i emailed and sent a letter to head office, setting out all the complaints, asking (nicely) for my money back.

normally when i've complained about anything in the past, i end up feeling like i'm the one in the wrong and still don't get my money back!:o

but i've just checked my bank statement and guess what? they've refunded the money back into my bank, hooray! i can't believe it.

still no letter or email of apology though. but tbh, i'm happier with the money back!:rotfl:

    Good companies:

Nestle - Have complained twice about products and received a cheque each time

New look - hit and miss really, I once complained about an actual problem with staff and incorrect protocol and got a £5 voucher. A second time I complained about store standards and didn't get a voucher (I got a reply saying they would investigate though which was fine)

    Bad companies:

ticketmaster - beyond rubbish. Dont get back to you, or do anything about the problem. you just waste your money calling them!

lovefilm/screenselect - just rubbish for lots of reasons. I'll never use them again

I had an experience at Tesco the other week.

While taking the trolley to my car, the front wheel locked up and the trolley tipped over (small trolley). I cut my finger slightly when it fell so dragged it all the way back to customer services. Told them about it and left some details.
A week passed and I heard nothing so I wrote a letter to complain. Within 4 days I had 2 letters, one from the original details I left and one from the letter I sent. It basically said sorry blah blah, we check them on a regular basis bla blah.
Anyway, about a week ago, the same thing a happened again. This time it was just outside the store with no damage to me. Worte another 2 page letter this time stating that it is not on and various threats. Also mentioned that if a child was in the trolley (the larger one) and it tipped over it could cause serious injuries. Got a letter back saying we will be looking into the trolleys and sorry to hear about it. Got another let a few days later to say they have had 4 complaints and were sending off some wheels to be inspected and they would let me know the outcome.

Obviously both times I threatened to take my business elsewhere but have had no offer of compensation. Being a kind and considerate member of the public I felt inclined to inform Tesco of the problem but was hoping for something of them. I mean they make 2 billions pounds a year.

I went there the other day and saw the same thing happen to another trolley. The person dragged it onto the side of the road and left it there.
