I complained to Rimmel/Coty about 3 weeks ago about a leaking lipgloss.

Got sent a cheque covering the cost of the lipgloss and my postage to send the lipgloss out to them (not bad for saying I had it as a present!).

And as a gesture of goodwill they sent me another lipgloss.

    Well done Rimmel/Coty :)

Unfortunatley it still doesn't fix my brother's table that it leaked on that he needs for his GCSE project but the cheque should cover some of the cost of making a new top for it.

    Another cause for complaint today.

Ordered some spider repellant through the post and the package arrived today.

Ripped open and looks as though it had been bend in half judging by the huge crease on the back of the package on the card bit. Despite having "do not bed" written on it.

To make matters worse, half my order is missing!

So before I can write to Royal Mail to complain about their manhandling of goods I am awaiting a reply from the company to see if they had forgotten to include it or not, or whether their product was not as described. I really hope it was one of those two and not gone missing at Royal Mail!

Either way, Royal Mail will be getting a letter of complaint.

Ever since I started to read this thread I've been getting terrible levels of service. Is it cursed?!

Any chance someone has the CEO of Marks and Spencer email or his / her name at least, I am in the middle of a complaint with them and it is now being handled by the staff in the Chairmans Office ( apparently ) but the 2 members of staff dealing with this are very rude and unprofessional and today refused to give me a name that I can complain to about their attitude and handling of my complaint.

I had an experience at Tesco the other week.

While taking the trolley to my car, the front wheel locked up and the trolley tipped over (small trolley). I cut my finger slightly when it fell so dragged it all the way back to customer services. Told them about it and left some details.
A week passed and I heard nothing so I wrote a letter to complain. Within 4 days I had 2 letters, one from the original details I left and one from the letter I sent. It basically said sorry blah blah, we check them on a regular basis bla blah.
Anyway, about a week ago, the same thing a happened again. This time it was just outside the store with no damage to me. Worte another 2 page letter this time stating that it is not on and various threats. Also mentioned that if a child was in the trolley (the larger one) and it tipped over it could cause serious injuries. Got a letter back saying we will be looking into the trolleys and sorry to hear about it. Got another let a few days later to say they have had 4 complaints and were sending off some wheels to be inspected and they would let me know the outcome.

Obviously both times I threatened to take my business elsewhere but have had no offer of compensation. Being a kind and considerate member of the public I felt inclined to inform Tesco of the problem but was hoping for something of them. I mean they make 2 billions pounds a year.

I went there the other day and saw the same thing happen to another trolley. The person dragged it onto the side of the road and left it there.

Loads of people on here complain to Tesco about various small and big issues, but all people seem to get back is standard "sorry but we do all we can to stop this kind of thing...." letters.

Seems they have got too big for their boots to care about customer service.

My advice, don't threaten to take your business elsewhere, DO IT!!!

  • I emailed arriva to complain when two buses in a row didn't turn up - left me standing there for 45 minutes and made me late for work! After the usual 'we will investigate etc.' I got two vouchers for free single bus rides. Not exactly over-whelmingly generous, but better than nothing.

Stuart Rose is the Chief Executive of M&S, he's the one who is always on TV saying how great the company is doing now. Lord Burns is the Chairman.

I don't usually cite Wikipedia as a source but in this case it seems to be correct:-

    I've been Money Tipped!
Ages ago I was conned into signing up for the new directory instore by a spotty youth. He basically lied to me saying that they had an offer if I signed up that day the directory would be free.

Any way a couple of months ago I had a bill for the directory:mad: . I went back to the store to complain. The manager was aware that this had happened to several people and sorted the charge out for me.

I emailed Next a few weeks ago about it and had forgotten about it. Today I had £15 of vouchers come through. Result:T

Not bad for a quick email:beer:

Ok guys this sounds petty but it has frustrated me. I bought 4 packs of Swizzels 'Lots of lollies' from Morrisons (bogof). Now they should have 3 diffrent kinds, the Double Lollies, Fruity Pops and my fave Drumsticks. Out of all the 4 packs there was not 1 Drumstick!!!!

Ok found an address on the back should i write and give a good moan, can also send it the batch code aswell if that would help.

I had something similar happen a few years ago, got a Next directory that i never ordered, but was in dh's name-even stranger as he would never order one:confused:
Got the bill through a while later and rang up to say i had never ordered it so i wasnt going to pay, cs asked for dh's date of birth, turned out it didnt match up with the details they had been given from whoever had ordered it for us.

    They did cancel the bill-thankfully.

I got £15 of vouchers through from them a week ago (after complaining about the staff), and i cant find anything at all to spend them on, i would give them away but it will hurt me too much:rotfl:

I had a bad packet of Curly Wurlys, they tasted vile, and I complained because god knows what was in them. Posted them back at my own expense....

    postage £2, curly wurlys £1.50

cadburys gave me a £3 voucher which i think is a bit pathetic. It wasnt complaining for the sake of it, it was because i was relatively concerned about what i was eating!

Do you think I should write back?
