NoHave just posted letter off to hq of B+Q, had fireplace and surround delivered 3 weeks ago-1 piece was damaged so delivery guys told me their office would contact me re: delivering it. 1 week later, no contact, i call them-they have no record of me having not recieved the surround-the girl says the onus is on me to have called. Surely not says i, when your drivers tell me they will call me, and also the delivery note i signed says 4out of 5 goods delivered. She won't connect me to "aftersales" and cannot even tell me if goods are in stock. She tells me they will call in 2-3 days....
....yep, 1 week later i phone again (friday), only this time to be told the delivery is coming on tues. How can that be, as i haven't be contacted regarding the delivery and i am at work on tuesday...she says if i cancel the next available date may not be till march or april!!-do i want her to cancel it? I said as i had never arranged the date in the 1st place and wouldn't be in, yes,cancel it. The irony then was, that when she tryed to cancel it she said "the system won't cancel it as its less than 5 days notice"...eventually the customer relation girl i get thro to, cancels it (27mins i am onthe phone in total!)
suprise suprise-tuesday answerphone, message from b+q-saying they cannot deliver my suround today as it is cracked. So much for cancelling it then. I am then on the phone to HQ,home delivery customer services, etc etc discussing the lack of communication and incompetent service. So letter posted detailing all of this (with names of people i spoke to and the time) posted on friday-the day my surround finally was delivered. 3 weeks later with B=Q having had my £800 for 3 weeks in their account!!
I await with baited breath..............!Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -
Hi, I'm not sure if my post belongs here but I have a problem with CD WOW.
I've ordered from them a few times and they all went fine - except one. I ordered a CD from them three weeks ago and still no dispatch. I mailed them and asked what the problem was and why I haven't heard from them at all and they replied saying:
'Unfortunately, we have experienced a delay in receiving this product from
our suppliers and we are currently awaiting confirmation of when the goods
will be available for dispatch.'
As well as appologies and so on. If I'd never e-mailed I would've been told nothing. Why did they take my money when they knew they didn't even have it in stock? It was meant to be a gift and now I don't even know if I'm ever going to get the CD - what am is the best thing for me to do? I want the CD but I also think I should be compensated.
Any help is greatly appreciated - thanks.

I had the same problem with CD Wow last year, they took the money from my account but they couldn't get the item in stock even though they told me a few different dates. All that happened was they refunded my card, nothing else. I usually stick to Play.com now. At least they don't take your money until something is definately in stock!0 -

I have an envelope permently sat in the letter rack with the Tesco address on, I have so many problems with our local tesco I feel i can only go in very late in the day when I know all day staff have scuttled back to their lairs!
Last week it was till supervisor and customer service both saying that I had to spend £10 (WHICH I HAD) tto use a an extra 50 points points on health and beauty when the coupon said clearly the spend was £2. So I scanned my points coupons and till reciept with my purchase, four bottles of shampoo worth in total £10 , printed off the scan and wrote to them and a letter today says 200 points have gone on my card, no apology for the hassle and mither.
So the shampoos will still go back for a refund

Right so there's no point complaining anymore to them then? I just have to wait until they feel like refunding me. It's almost amusing really - what a joke. I'm definately not going to use them again after this pathetic service.

Definately try Play.com, much better service and 3-5 days delivery for in stock items. And they are reasonable cheap aswell.0 -
i recently complained to youngs fish as thier mediterranian fish was awful , they were very nice and sent me out a fivers worth of vouchers for another youngs product , i bought 2 packs of fish en croute which looked gorgeous on the packet , only to find when i cooked them they opened up and all the sauce came out and the fish was 2 x 1 inch square ( hubby measured it as he has never seen such a small amount of fish lol) needless to say it was all pastry and no fish , definatly not as pictured on the box , so i phoed back up and told them id had bigger fish fingers , they said they would sent me out a postal order this time so i dont have to buy thier fish again , lol , so all in all very good customer service , bu very bad products
