I've had real problems with Thorntons this week, ordered some champagne and chocolates for a friends birthday... due to arrive on tuesday (but never did), chased it up, was told it has left the depot and would be there within the next 24 hours... still nothing I then get a phone call last night from parcelnet asking if I had received the package... which they had apparently left outside my door !

    Argh!

Anyway in the end I had to drive down to another store to get something else for their birthday.

I called thorntons today and they've ofered a full refund plus free chocolates and they're going to complain to parcelnet :)

So can't really coomplain about their cust service as it was fine... just a little annoyed at parcelnet boooooo

I had an experience at Tesco the other week.

Obviously both times I threatened to take my business elsewhere but have had no offer of compensation. Being a kind and considerate member of the public I felt inclined to inform Tesco of the problem but was hoping for something of them. I mean they make 2 billions pounds a year.

Jus cos they take 2billion pounds a year doesnt mean they should give you something for free... its a business, they make the profits cos they are a good business....

I bought a family size steak pie from asda the other week. V tasy, only problem was there was only 2 pieces of steak in it & the rest was gravy ! I emailed them a complaint & 2 weeks later I received in the post a v apologetic letter & a £5 gift card ! i was mighty impressed at their customer service. Haven't found Tesco anywhere as good, i sometimes get the feeling they have so many customers they don;t care ?!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I sent an email to Kraft. I had a dairylea fromage frais dunker with 1 biscuit in it. They sent me a quick reply and a freepost address to sent the outer packaging to.

    £4 in vouchers arrived yesterday.

i know that most of the people on this thread are complaining about genuine complaints and asking advice fior such but i found out the other day that some companies pay for a service where they are given a chronic complainers list and if these people complain they ignore them or refuse refunds to them in stores! so beware!

    Apparently, that is all myth.
  • I complained to Nestle that a bag of mini Smarties boxes we got had 2 empty boxes in and no loose Smarties, and got a £3 cheque back. Most pleased!

My friend is in the process of complaining to New Look as in their Inspire Range (Size 16+) all the jeans are low slung with zips less than two inches long - and we can't be the only people thinking you might not want your belly hanging over your jeans - its just not nice! We're not expecting anything back but would hope they'd make a change to the range in the future.
