A guy in burger king was too busy chatting to his colleague to serve customers, so after waiting at the front of the queue for about 10 minutes I walked out, not before taking a note of his name on his name badge. A quick letter to head office later got me an apology and vouchers for 2 free whoppers. Not bad for a second class stamp! Won't be going back to that branch though!!
Also complained to Boots about some really poor quality photos from their digital photo service, sending a copy of the picture in with another print I had done with another company to show them the difference. Needless to say I got a full refund, plus an extra 1000 advantage card points.0 -

Ha, you'll love this one. I was eating my lunch sandwich at work when I though, ooh, what was that that just fell out? A bit of lettuce?
NO! A little worm! No mistaking it: it proceeded to meander its way about six inches across the desk before expiring.
I wrote to the bakers where I bought it to complain, and got a reply back from their salad suppliers. Apparently my wiggley worm was 'a piece of woody fibrous material' after their extensive tests.
I did write back asking how, in that case, a bit of wood had managed to crawl six inches across my desk (something I'd left out of my original complaint). Surprise surprise, no reply.
No, I didn't finish the sandwich! Insult to injury: they sent me vouchers for more of their food for my 'upset'!0 -

I had terrible service and a bad meal around a month ago in a Brewers Fayre. We waited over 30 mins for our drinks to be bought over to us despite reminding the barstaff several times that we hadnt had them! I used the e-mail form on the site that you provided the link for and received an e-mail back within days saying that the branch manager would contact me. About 2 weeks later he wrote apologising and sent a £5 voucher. Only trouble is that is the nearset BF restaurant for miles and I really don't want to go back again! oh well...!0 -
NoI was in mcdonalds last week and they took the order and forgot to bring my burger over, so i complained to manager (everyone else had finished by then) got a full refund for whole family and a free burger to boot, i only wanted the money back for my meal.
Being honest i doubt id have went that far if i haddent been on the boards, id have just taken the free burger strait away and said nothing, but being on here makes you realise we dont have to put up with things like this esp when were paying through the nose for it.0 -

Yep, complained about the appauling service through the website, they said they had sold the pub and passed on my details to the new brewery, the manager called and gave a half hearted apology, and invited us for a free meal, but when we came to have it he made us feel really uncomfortable, so probably the worst meal ever!! Shame though, cos the food used to be fab, but since it changed hands it's really gone down hill. Needless to say we won't be returning. With Love From The Mistress xx

Bought 6 tins of Heinz soup about a month ago from Asda and the last one, Minestrone, had a 12x4mm sharp piece of curved aluminium in, just like it had been cut from inside a pipe. Found out when it cut the roof of my mouth and caught my gum. Called Heinz minutes later who asked for details and for me to post the object to them. Received a letter saying they were looking into it the week after then I received an apology the other day saying they could not explain it, together with a voucher for £5 for the inconvenience. Not best pleased when I read on here about the watery soup compensation in relation to mine (£3 to £5). Any ideas welcome before I respond to Heinz. Had a little kiddy been eating the soup, I'd hate to think what could have happened0

NoA few weeks ago, my parents took my 16 month old son to a certain supermarket and a part of their light fitting fell on his head, it was a piece of lightweight aluminium, resulting in a minor head injury (Bruise and bump) The manager has visited me at home, because of a death in the family the same day after the incident and sheer relief that my wee boy is absolutely fine, I was delighted that they apologised profusely, brought me a bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers and said he would send me £20 off my next shop in the store. The voucher hasnt arrived yet but do you all think this is a fair deal? Im battling with myself because Im really not the type of person to capitalise on this injury as my wee boy is fine and well but a few people are saying that this was poor compensation. What do you guys think? should I leave it at that and if not what should I do? Ive accepted the gifts and as said am waiting to receive the vouchers. xxxxThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.
