this would be added as a blog?..do tesco check this site??...i dont understand:confused:

Tesco do check this site and Terry Leahy is personally aware of it and has responded to some complaints posted on it (see eg: http://tesco-complaint.blogspot.com/2006/11/tesco-complaint_06.html).

You post the complaint yourself following the instructions on site on the top right headed "Post Your Complaint Here" by emailing your complaint in. Your email goes on the site immediately. It may be edited later on by one of the editors.

Yep, complained about the appauling service through the website, they said they had sold the pub and passed on my details to the new brewery, the manager called and gave a half hearted apology, and invited us for a free meal, but when we came to have it he made us feel really uncomfortable, so probably the worst meal ever!! Shame though, cos the food used to be fab, but since it changed hands it's really gone down hill. Needless to say we won't be returning.

has it changed to a vintage inn?

mitchells and butler bought out most of the brewers fayre.

if you write to mitchells and butler H.O about your 2nd bad experience they should send you a voucher for around £30. although if it is a vintage inn i do disagree with your comments about the food - i find vintage inn food yummy - esp the steak and ale pie!!!

Thanks everyone for your help with Brewers Fayre. I've sent an email on the form asking for the address to send a complaint to, as I think Food poisoning is pretty major and I'd like to directly address someone as high up in the company as possible. So far no reply. :(

if it was food poisoning (doubtful so soon after) why didn't u contact the environmental health as soon as u realised? that way you could prevent further illness for other people.

I purchased a variety pack of condoms and one of them had not been sealed properly and was open inside the box. I wrote and complained and they sent me 2 x 12packs back in the post within a few days. result!

Yep, mitchells and butler bought the pub. I don't know about the Vintage Inn though, as when we went back they were still using Brewers Fayre menu for some reason. Manager said it was changing to a Bistro in February, is Vintage Inn bistro food.

Most complaint letters I write get ignored. However, I did get a £10 rail travel voucher after complaining about a winter journey on a train which appeared to be completely unheated and was extremely cold.

    can i complain about this?

i bought a well known brand of suedelike material boots, (with a thich sole)and obviously, they are not suitable for going through puddles in, but i presumed were ok for normal weather conditions. i wore them outside one day when the ground was wet but i didnt go through any puddles or step on grass, and they got soaked, the whole of the boot was sopping wet inside thru the material. the thing is, i usually have canvas boots and this has never happened before-i could understand it if i was jumping in puddles or it was torrential rain, but it was only just spitting. i was really annoyed as they cost me over 40 quid, i bought them in the autumn but they are not suitable for wearing in average weather. im not very good at explaining but it seems these boots are only any use for summer wear which is a paradox?
also after that experience the glue is starting to come away and i have only had them a fortnight..i have also lost the reciept. im not after anything free but i object to being charged exorbitant prices for something you can only wear in an exact weather condition, especially as they are boots and not shoes, i think they should be made aware, after all i have NEVER had this problem with canvas even in horrible weather conditions!

It def was a stomach bug or something like that (meal eaten at 6pm, partner violently sick around 4am etc with the whole works for a few days after).
I did infact contact the environmental health, and brewers fayre have emailed a sheet to fill in with our details, the food eaten etc so they can carry out an independant health and safety check. :o
So don't panic too much ;)
