The voucher hasnt arrived yet but do you all think this is a fair deal? Im battling with myself because Im really not the type of person to capitalise on this injury as my wee boy is fine and well but a few people are saying that this was poor compensation. What do you guys think? should I leave it at that and if not what should I do? Ive accepted the gifts and as said am waiting to receive the vouchers. xxxx
Hi there everyone, this incident happened at Aldi's on the 11/11/06 (I especially remember because my uncle died that same day) I still havent received any vouchers, has anyone complained to them before and if so, who should I email? Any contact details? Or should I wait a bit longer? and should I seem ungrateful for thinking a £20 voucher is quite mean?:oThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. I had a particularly minging visit to a Mcdonalds lately won't put you off with details but I got in touch via the website and told them how bad it was.To be honest I didn't expect much response, other posts seem to be lucky to get an acknowledgement but I received £10 in vouchers off my next meal and the satisfaction that they were not impressed either."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

NoI phoned Surf because their powder did not remove a coffee stain (they guarantee it works with 99 stains including coffee).
Pack cost £1.50ish.

NoBack in October we had the most terrible experience with Pizza Hut, it was on the night of my brothers 10th Birthday too! The area around our table was a complete mess, pziza arrived burnt, and being vegetarian and ordering a vegetarian pizza, I noticed something different on the pizzas, I thought it was pepporoni and checked with our server who said it was tomato. I ate, and instantly fell sick. When I saw the reciept it said we had had pepperoni on our pizza, which we had definitely NOT ignored. It may not sound like a big deal to you but it was to us, being Hindu and strict vegetarians. After arguing with the manager I managed to get £12.50 of our meal, and also, after I sent a letter complaining, received a cheque for £12.50 and £30 worth of vouchers...0

Hi,
I think it was very admirable of you to accept the flowers etc in good faith but I would imagine the Manager of the store would be relieved especially as this is gross negligence under the Health and Safety act. He was probably even more relieved that unfortunately at the time of the incident you were extremely vulnerable due to the sad circumstances. I would pursue this with their Head Office and lodge a letter stating your intentions to make a claim for accident and injury etc...ensure they have noted the event in their accident book - if they haven't, that is against the H and S law...if they don't have a book or procedure - well again that is an offence. They are also liable under the Occupiers Liability aspect of H and S ie they have to provide safe access and use of their premises to visitors etc etc.
I would suggest you also seek advice from a solicitor or claims specialist. You would not also be seeking recompensense for yourself but ensuing safety of other shoppers and toddlers etc.
Good Luck

NoWe visited a TGI a couple of weeks back to treat DD and to use the daytime discount menu. We went to the Bluewater store. I am in a wheelchair and the restaurant wasnt very accessable, so I had to park up and OH literally carry me to the table....luckily it was quiet. We were then handed 2 menus, neither being the discount one which was advertised outside on the board.....upon asking the pstaff member was quite rude and said they werent doing it today
We walked (me wheeled) out! I wasnt going to pay £10 for a burger when advertised for £5.
I emailed once we got in and ended up going to Spud U Like! Anyway, we received £40 in vouchers a couple of days back.
Also, we have had problems with our WM (5 yr cover due up in March 07) we havent been able to use it for nearly 2 weeks. They were going to fix it costing them £300 so I asked if we could just use the £300 towards a new one...worth asking. Was told no, then we received a letter/voucher for £350 to be spent in Comet....result! New one due tomorrow. Also was cheeky and asked for a discount on the extended WM and we got it £50 cheaper...so worry free till 2011:TTo repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0 -
I complained to McDonalds and got a 5 pound voucher and an e-mail saying they were really sorry. My sister wrote to Maybelline to say she loves their products and she got a 3 puond voucher.0

Writing to companies to complain/compliment is all well and good when you have a genuine reason to and i'm definately in for getting in touch with them (especially if you can get something back in return, even if it is just what you had originally spent). Take note of this though all of you who make up complaints to personal gain....there is a website (don't know the name) that lists people who complain that other companies can look at, and if your name appears on it quite a lot they know what you're up to. Doubt you'll end up with a prison sentence or anything but they may take some action.Fight for clean hospitals, C-DIFF takes lives
