  • I wrote to BMG nearly 2 years ago to complain that the CD i bought was riddled with DRM and I couldn't play the disc in my PC as the drive couldn't read it and I don't own a HiFi (I haven't for some years). Even my car stereo couldn't read the disc.

I sent it back with a copy of the receipt from where I bought it.

Not only did BMG never reply, they kept the CD too!!!!

    !!!!!!.

No wonder nobody buys CD's any more if that's the service you get!

I wrote a letter of complaint to Johnsons the cleaners, complaining about their extortionate prices. OH has been a loyal customer of theirs since becoming a teacher, however, whe have moved from crewe, where it cost £10 to get two suits done, to Ashton under Lyne, near Oldham. It is now costing £21 to get two suits cleaned, for that he could buy them as many of his suits are from a charity shop.

this was the reply I got:-

"Thank you for your e-mail. The prices in our branches are out of our control, however, I will send some complimentary vouchers as a gesture of goodwill"

My point is that if you go into ASDA you do note expect to pay double in another part of the country. Even franchises such as KFC have a pricing system to ensure fairness. Plus OH gets at least 2 suits drycleaned a fortnight, and there are no other dry cleaners locally, therefore, I want this complaint to have an impact!

Can anyone give me any advice as how to proceed

Any advice? They have sent £15 worth of vouchers, but I would rather they sorted out their prices.

  • I complained to Clarins 2 years ago about bad service and being sold the wrong products for my skin type and had to fight for a refund and very grudgingly sent a small bottle of perfume as apology.

HSBC, part of the door to the bank fell on top of me and scraped my arm(thank G-d!, could have been worse)they offered me £75 but had a lawyer friend who got me £250.

Boots, a psycho sales assistant who stalked me around the store, got a £10 giftcard but she is still working there :( so hardly ever go in now.

Complained to Lush about their excessive p&p a few years ago and just discovered they have lowered them-result! Am off to do some shopping now :)

Been fitting a Homebase kitchen now for nearly a month - first two packages we opened the pieces were damaged (looked like they'd been driven over by a fork lift truck to be honest). Phoned Homebase, kept getting passed from pillar to post, finally got through ~(after opening MORE packages, and finding more damage) to Valerie in Escalations. We explained the items weren't damaged in transit, we were fitting the kitchen ourselves, piece by piece to minimise disruption, and wanted to sort something out when we had a full idea of the total problem. When I finally emailed her back - 6 out of 16 units had some kind of problem, ranging from full height larder cupboard walls with thick black tyre marks, to bent metal work, chipped walls and a bent backboard (which just 'catches the light' when the cupboard is open :( )
We've just had an offer of £250 in Homebase vouchers AND a free door (the salesman who sold us the kitchen didn't take into account the drainage from the sink, as a result we can't use the pan draws he designed in ther efor us, and need an ordinary cupboard door)

Unfortunatly, they won't give us credit for the pan draw pack or the draw fronts we don't need (see above comment about their 'designer')

Total cost of kitchen was £3,500....

I have also complained to Morrisons. I went into one of their cafes about a fortnight ago and the place was disgusting! It was filthy and looked like it needed a bloody good clean!!

I phoned their Head Office and told them how I felt. I was honest and mentioned a couple of positives as well as the negatives. Anyway long story short they sent me 5 pounds worth of vouchers with no expiry date that can be used anywhere.

Lol! - Hillarious comment - Get them girls In from that channel 4 cleaning programme.

Morrison stores make me sick full stop lol.

I actually wrote to Pizza Hut telling them how impressed I was at the service offered at one of their restraunts and never heard back - this was 6 weeks ago!!..Maybe some vouchers would have been a nice gesture

No - but the title needs to change
I was hoping for a little something from ASDA, I used the self scan machine, and bought 3 packs of paracetamol, and it didn't ask for any authorisation, I have also noticed that sometimes when I am buying Wine, I can just pop it straight in the bag and no one queries my age!
I phoned them yesterday to complain, I was very concerned that it was basically possible for anyone to purchase as much paracetamol as they liked, and the fact that underage people could well buy alcohol via the self scan, as there are times when there is no CS at the middle pod to authorise.
Anyhoo, to cut a long story short, NADA! All I was told is that someon will look into it!!

Nestle once sent me about 6000/7000 email messages by accident. When I finally cleared my inbox and complained they apologised with a great big box full of KitKat Chunkies. Yum. They went surprisingly quick though.

  • Hi I actually sent my phone to be repaired at my local o2 store because of a problem with the scroll button and they called me back within a couple of days to say it was ready. However when I checked the phone, it was completely scratched both on the screen and across the keys. They submitted a report in store about a week or so ago but have not heard from them since. I've been using an old phone but its really inconvenient because its a very old model, any advice on how best to submit a complaint including who to address it to?
    Thanks

My bro sent a letter to Kraft after a cheese slice had a small dark patch (its normal and happens a lot due to over heating apparently). They sent him a £5 voucher for any Kraft product. Its mad how much stuff they make!!
