I emailed cadburys after a recent trip to the new shop 'discount' outlet they have at Freeport,Fleetwood. The prices were not particularly any cheaper, especially when you think that asda ect are always having offers on multi packs of bogof. The multi packs in the cadbury shop had a discount of roughly 10p!!! When we got home we also realised that the creme eggs we had bought had leaked and were all sticky. Had a very pleasent letter from them today to say that my comments would be passed onto the store manager plus a cadbury 'cheque' for £5 which is redeemable at all supermarkets. Only took about a week for reply aswel.
  • I complained to wilkinsons (via their website) after being short changed in one of their shops to the tune of £5. The cashier told me I would only get the extra £5 once the till balance had been checked. The security guard was called over and the till contents were taken to the offices for checking. Fortunately I got the rest of my change 15 minutes later.

The points I made in my email were:

If the cashier had given £5 extra change to another customer by accident prior to serving me then the till would balance and I would be down by £5.

It was assumed I was in the wrong.

If the till balance was over by more than £5 would I get extra change?

Anyway, 3 days later I received a letter of appology and a £5 voucher.

    Success!!!!

this is standard practice in retail and not a slight on your character, you must understand that people do lie about what note denomination they have handed over- ive had peopel swear blind tehy gave me a £20 when they actually give me a £5

i dont think that complaining through teh webiste is as good as telephioning as on teh phone you can really make your point about how upset you were made to feel, id ring teh store and speak to the manager, the usual outcome would be an offer to return at any point to have the equivalent of what you ordered replaced (e.g. if you had a pizza and 2 desserts, you would usually be offered ANY pizza and ANY 2 desserts- we had this at frankie and benny's once, my oh had a pizza on the rubbish visit and a steak on our free visit hehe!)

i wrote to pizza hut to complain about the service i received in my local store when i went for one of their buffet lunches,as i had to wait for 40 minutes for a re-fill on my pepsi and because most of the plates were filthy.
it took them two weeks to reply to me saying they had passed my comments onto area management and they included a ten pound voucher..
