Yep, you guessed right! I believe there have been numerous problems with them blowing up etc but I didn't know they could overheat and badly singe and damage my hair! Have to say thought that I have had no problems with the replacement.

what i did was i got my faulty ones off ebay for 30 quid and when i went on holiday (because it was cheaper to get them repaired there ..i took my straighteners with me:o ) the wire was broken so i had to get it taped back together and ive been using them for 2 months with no problem! :T


Did you have to send your straighteners back to them to get a replacement. 100 pounds worth of products..ahh ur lucky

I've phoned Asda 3 times about various foods that weren't up to scratch, each time they have, without any quibbling, refunded double my money by way of a gift card in the post.
Its almost worth looking for something dodgy on the shelves lol

If you have a look in the back of the argos catalogue, they used to have a list of all their brands and how to contact the company directly. They should probably still do that.

Although i had a red or dead watch which was filed with liquid (yeah i know i thought it was really cool at the time!) and it kept bursting, and the liquid was an oil i was allergic to my arm looked really horiffic!

Argos wouldnt refund but they kept replacing, I had 8 of them burst before they gave me gift vouchers.

I sent a letter of complaint to Pizza hut quite a few weeks back now, and havent had any reply.

Just wondered if anyone had complained to them before, and how long did it take to get a reply back from them?

I sent off another complaint at the same time, and have had 2 replys and a refund cheque from them, but havent had anything back from pizza hut.

I wrote a complaint letter to Halifax Bank as i opened a new current account with them. i recieved my pin number, cheque book, other letters, but i did not recieve my card, they told me it had been sent to my previous address and advised me to go and collect it!!!!! they kept sending them and saying it had been sent to the correct address again. eventually got it sent to a branch just under 3 months later! i did not recieve a letter of apology from them but i did get £25 credited to my account!

I wrote an email of complaint to Walt Disney World about their standard of service at a restaurant at Epcot (Rose & Crown).

I got two hopper passes (worth about £63.00 each) sent to me from USA, which are valid until 2017!

Another letter of complaint, was to the Beefeater. Went to one of their restaurants, again customer service was bad, took ages to take order, when order came food was undercooked, what made matters worse, this was a Birthday meal. Sent a voucher for £50.00 towards a meal.

I had a challenge paper shredder for xmas last year and we've used it in line with all the instructions etc but it just wont shred properlly now. I've tried looking for an addy to contact Challenge but cant find anything anywhere, not even on the box or on the instructions. I know we've had it a while now but surely it should last longer than that! It was originally bought from Argos b4 xmas but surely I cant go back to them with it can I? what would you lot do? anyone had any similar probs?

I submitted a complaint in writing today to the local bus company. I was appaled at there service as two buses went straight passed me and my two friends - will keep you updated.
