I complained to Clairol about a hair dye that i had bought, got it at superdrug for 3.15, but there was something wrong with the bottle it was crackling inside, phoned them gave all the codes they asked for and then got a £10 voucher through the post. A good £6.85 profit.
Also complained to GM buses, about a particular bus in the morning my partner catches to work either not turning up or doing its full route, after several days of this happenening got a ticket voucher through the door that the bus drivers wont accept, (basically too much bother for them to cash it in at the depot themselfs) he got on the bus free for a couple of days tho and then we went to the depot and got a driver there to issue a ticket for us.
As for Macdonalds some are really good and other stores are crap and arogant, but there is always head office and they send you vouchers out as well. just go on there web site there is link on it to contact them.Live for today, tommorrow may never come!0 -

No - but it should be moved to another boardI have complained in the past, But the ones I remember doing by sending letters are:
Hugo Boss expensive body spray (the button you push on top) was broke. Got complete refund and new button/cap.
BonBon. I had a very white and speccy advent calander (I mean crumbling) and got a box full of there sweets etc
Also one more letter waiting to be sent.
I have sent emails etc in past, and im not going into detail incase people abuse the whole 'complaining' thing.

NoAnyone complained to Letts????
My daughter recieved a letts diary with an attached pen as a present for when she started secondary school. She was sat in her room writing all the dates in her diary and the pen stopped working - she shook it - and the ink flew out of the top (obviously faulty) everywhere and I mean everywhere walls, quilt cover, trousers (being worn) clean ironed trousers and skirt ready to be put away, brand new trainers with tags on for her PE bag for new school, carpet and of course all over the diary. Took photo's straight away and called them, had to send photos and pen to them and I am still waiting for reply.
£100's of pounds damaged by ink - what am I to expect, I'm worried now as I have heard nothing and I sent them 10 days ago, knowing my luck they will deny reciept of pen/photo's. Did keep copy of letter and have photo's on pc but no pen though. Will keep you informed.0 -
Have complained to Foxs biscuits about a chocolate speciality box, which when opened found that all the plain ones had gone white.
Got a nice email reply and £10 worth of vouchers.Heard the Shaggy Taxi Wind Up Phone Call?
Visit my Shaggy videos on Youtube - search for Rhyburgh1 - now over 700,00 views - bring on the million!! Enjoy.0 -
I bought a Twix, the Biscuit was soft and the caramel Toffee was very hard instead of soft & chewy. It was the Expiry date. I wrote a Letter, sent the packing back and I got a 3pound voucher for Masterfoods confectionary. not bad for 50p spent.
Im tempted to see if I can use it in a shop that is sellling their confectionary at a cheap price, like Pounds shops-5for a pound etc & take extra advantage of the Coupon. it may be a bit cheeky tho0 -
YesI complained to Greggs the bakers about three months ago regarding appauling hygiene in my local shop. This morning I received £5 worth of vouchers and a beautiful letter assuring me that training would be given to those involved!
It made my day as it is my son's birthday next week so they can go towards a BIG HUGE GIGANTIC CHOKKIE CAKE!!!Saving is the new spending! :A0 -
hi,
i know this isnt really to do with money saving but i just wanted some advice from other members
im in the process of writing a complaint letter to my doctors as i took my 7 month year old to the surgery with high temperature and a cold. The doctor precribed my daughter something for PERIOD PAINS my daughter is 7 MONTHS. i didnt read the precription i took it to the chemist, it was only when the chemist queried the medication and the age of my child we found out the dosage he had given was 5 times too high<recomended for a 12 year old> the results could have been fatial. i really dont know what i should do.
any advise is gratefully received
