  • I think this thread is great but maybe company names should not be mentioned in case of abuse? Anyway here's my successes:

Expensive hair straightner, over heated and singed my hair off on third use! Result, £200, new staightners and about £100 worth of hair products.

Baby shampoo with faulty lid. Result, big box of baby toiletries.

Bottle of 'off' iced coffee. Result, £25 cheque and box of various goodies.

    Faulty baby wipes. Result, £20.

Cereal advertised as having loads of fruit when actually there was hardly any in the pack. Result, £5 voucher.

Having to wait 35 mins to be served at 'fast food' restaurant. Result, voucher for free meal.

Theres more but I cant think of them right now! I only ever complain when I feel there is genuine need to and I give good feedback when deserved too!

    hi,

i know this isnt really to do with money saving but i just wanted some advice from other members
im in the process of writing a complaint letter to my doctors as i took my 7 month year old to the surgery with high temperature and a cold. The doctor precribed my daughter something for PERIOD PAINS my daughter is 7 MONTHS. i didnt read the precription i took it to the chemist, it was only when the chemist queried the medication and the age of my child we found out the dosage he had given was 5 times too high<recomended for a 12 year old> the results could have been fatial. i really dont know what i should do.

    any advise is gratefully received

Complain. I was given a sleep aid and tranqilisers for my driving test, result in me struggling to stay awake at the wheel, and failling. Other doctor said I was prescribed 3 times as much. I also complained about her because she had the nerve to call me and my partner fat (i'm size 14, and i've seen slimmer size 28 people!). If the doctor was healthy, i'd have accepted it, but she was in no fit state to be a doctor.

Complained to Ebuyer over a period of a YEAR.

    Yes and ENTIRE YEAR.

Final outcome (last month) they *finally* sent me the PSU that should have arrived with my computer case.

But they've still not refunded me the £2 that they charged to my credit card without asking.

For the Somerfield complaint, have you tried phonig the head office? I have been having problems with my Somerfield for over a year and after numerous letters, I finally got right ticked off and phoned Head Office, it was sorted within a week!

    Can anyone help?

My brother eats CocoPop straws, recently, they have been all broken when we open the packet which kind of defeats the whole purpose of the "straws". I don'[t know whether this is Kellogs fault or the supermarket we bought it from. Anyway, emailed Kellogs, got a reply telling me to send my postal address and name and quote ref number to get a coupon. I've tried this around 5 times and each time I've got an email from the hotmail Postmaster saying my mail couldn't be sent as their is no such email address. Hello, they sent me an email, how the hell could thye not exist?

  • I complained about a Burtons store being in a bit of a poor state. They kept sending me emails about the progress of my complaint and recently informed me that they have decided to completely refit the store and give the store front a new sign.
