NoI sent an email to Starbucks last week about an incident in our local store a few weeks back. Im a wheelchair user and a staff member was quite rude. I received 6 vouchers for any beverage. OH & DD got 2 large frappochinos (sp) the other day and saved them over £6

durham_girl wrote:I complained at a Pizza Hut the other day. My and the husband ordered a Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Feast to take out. When we got home (a good 15min drive away) we sat down to eat our pizza we found sprinklings of mushrooms on the top, not baked in but obviously dropped on the top from another pizza. Neither of us can stand mushrooms so it all went into the bin.
I phoned to complain, and after about 5 mins on hold I got through to the Manager. He was quite rude with me after I told him I was unable to drive all the way back over to pick up a replcement pizza, but I stood my ground and eventually he told me he would send replacement vouchers in the post!
Result!
I had a similar incident with Dominoes, but I complained directly to their HO at Milton Keynes.
I got a voucher for a free Pizza, and have been added to their special customer list, where we get offers regulary0 -
NoI went to TGI fridays a while ago and I find their meals too big, but as they are so nice and quite expensive I asked them to wrap half of my meal up. When the bill came a while later I asked for my food and the waiter was very appologetic and said he had thrown it away. I told him not to worry about it as it was a simple mistake but he got the manager to come and see me anyway.
The manager then gave us a free voucher for a desert next time we came in. I went away thinking thats very good considering I didn't even complain. However when I read the terms and conditions it said the following.
Promotional desert only ( so no choice)
Offer to be used Mon-Thurs only
When 2 adults buy 2 main meals
valid for 4 weeks
I was not impressed we don't get to go that often as the nearest one is an hours drive away, so we had no chance of going on a weekday and why should we have to buy 2 more meals!!
Anyway I am waffling a lot now sorry. I wrote a very nice letter of complaint and received a very nice letter back and vouchers to be used at any time for £35.
Excellent result!0 -
NoJust thought of another one:
I joined the birthday club at the learning centre for my daughter, apparently on their birthday you are meant to receive a gift and some other stuff, well i never received any of this, so I enquired why this was. They are sending me the gift and also some vouchers and a 20% off code.0 -
lol...I had a Ginster's pasty which had a large piece of bone in it.
I emailed them and they asked me to send the package and bone to them...I did and got x2 aplogy letters; the first with £15 postal order and the second with a £20 postal order! - the letters went on to say that the bone should have been picked up by their rigerous filtering process and that they were very sorry...good for them, I've since had loads of their pasties with no futher problems.
Cheers

NoHi all,I was very impressed by this thread!I never had the guts to speak up on any occasion before..I had a bad experience with pizza hut last week with their waitress making us wait extra long and then allocating to an unsuitable table (we had a buggy)and then other customers fought that it was their turn and asked us to be sent out-it was a very uncomfortable situation..I wanted to give feedback to them but they only have a phone number and iam not so comfy over the phone..any ideas??thanks.0

My very first complaint letter ever (when I was about 7) was to Kinder!
I received a multipack of Kinder Suprises (3 pack) as a stocking filler, and - when I opened them - I found the toys were the same in all 3!
I wrote to them very honestly, stated I thought the idea of Kinder suprises was that they are fun, and that its no fun when you get the same toy three times in one pack!
They sent back:
12 kinder suprises
2 packets of Nutella Kinder spreads
4 packets of kinder milk bards (tempo? or something)
2 kinder buenos

On a serious note, if anyone has any difficult consumer letters to write (ie. you bought something expensive and faulty on credit, it's failed and they wont repay you) you can check out:
http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/complaints/letters.shtml
It's quite professional, simple, and quotes legislation.0
