No - but it should be moved to another board
I wrote an email of complaint to Nando's after I went to one of their stores for my leaving do and the manager was so rude to us and kept rolling her eyes and all sorts! We were gobsmacked.

They wrote back with an apology and a free voucher for any combination meal.

I also emailed Airwicks to say their odourstop aerosol lid continously falls off *well it did for me* They sent me a £2 cheque this morning!!

I bought a BOGOF Sprite from Tesco, and hubby informed me one of the cans were completely empty! I thought he was having a laugh, but it was, the can was unopened, but had leaked out somehow... Can't be bothered to complain though! Makes my head hurt sometimes! :rotfl:

A few weeks ago on mse there was a thread for the england rugby tops for £5 and i bought one of them for a fiver and after 2 weeks while i was on holiday it did not arrive so when i got back from spain i emailed the website (rugbystore.net) and they said sorry and that the top was out of stock.

They refunded me my money and also sent me a £5 giftcard as a gesture of good will :D

  • I would complain again and say that you dont really feel that £3.50 in vouchers is good enough due to the fact they have said it was human hair...

Thanks wanting2save, you're right of course, I probably should have taken it further, but it was about 18 months ago that it happened so too late now. I will vote with my feet though as I've just discovered that baby no.2 is on the way. I will steer clear of Hipp - eughh it really was a nasty thing to find!

Im debating at the moment whether to complain to my local train station

Hi essex honey, i cant believe that you are questioning it (apart from the fact that you must be knackered with 2 aged under 18 months.... and havent got alot of spare time.)

 I would definately complain... it doesnt matter if you are 'entitled' to a seat when you buy your tickets. The only place you were able to go on the train with a buggy was unsatisfactory and also unsafe for people to go on. Just because you are a mum doesnt mean you should be restricted to staying in such horrible situation for 50 minutes!! It is totally unaceptable!!

Get writing/e-mailing!! you definately deserve at least a letter of apology!!!

P.s I also assume that there were no guards around to offer assistance to you?!? This is very poor customer service and i would state you were very concerned about your older child hurting herself!! Should at least make them think!!

    GOOD LUCK!

  • I have saved thousands of pounds by complaining and appealing, although there are still some things I should have complained about and didn't or didn't persist.

    The main points are:
    * no matter how unfair a decision against you always be polite and respectful to individual telling you, because they are just doing their job. If you don't agree with them, say OK, please tell me the name and contact details of the person to whom I need to appeal this decision.
    * in your letter of complaint you need to state clearly 1. what you are complaining about 2. why you believe you have a right to appeal (under what terms of your contract or agreement, if there is one) 3. what you would like to be done about it.
Number three in particular is often missed out; a complaint is just a rant unless it is rounded off by the proposal of a constructive conclusion.

A couple of years ago I got hurt in Tesco when I bent to look at an item. Two spikes of a broken shelf fixture pierced my forehead which hurt like mad. I have a scar there now. But at the time I didn't know what to do and was embarrassed about having gotten hurt in the first place. I know I should have said something. Since then I've received poor treatment at other places, but always seem to let it pass. But not anymore after having read this thread. Watch this space.

    Mmmm
bought a pair of shoes from bata as i was on hols in france. when i'd worn them for a whole ten days one of them started falling apart. so i got in touch to complain and, after a good few emails back and forth, the rep finally agreed that that wasn't on, so offered me a replacement or a refund. i took the replacement and now they are falling a part too (albeit not quite as fast) i don't think i can be bothered complaining again.... should i gone for the money in the first place... ALWAYS TAKE THE MONEY!
