NoJust wanted to say that I hope people do write off to companies for good service, as well as the bad.
I'm home from uni for the summer, so been working my backside off as a waitress at a local Brewers Fayre. People pay for their food before they receive it - so many people don't bother to leave a tip as they receive their food, eat and leave.
However a while ago I was nearing the end of my shift, when a family came over and handed to my manager 2 'opinion cards' stating how lovely, friend, helpful and polite I was and how I'd made their evening great and I was a credit to the restaurant, complete with a £10 tip !
I was COMPLETELY over the moon, and couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the week !!
Just a few minutes to write a comment card with a few nice points on can really make someones day !!:D

I written to a few companies stating how great i think their products are or how great the staff are and i have never heard anything back not even a thanks. The one i got most annoyed with was Lenor (in the email i asked them a question regarding their products and never got a reply )Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0

NoWas in Starbucks for a rare treat last week and waited forever for three takeaway drink orders. They came spaced out by ages so the first one was sitting getting cold as I waited. Not only that but they got my order wrong and gave me a smaller size than I asked for - granted I'm not sure I paid the larger size price - and shrugged when I queried it.
Emailed to complain and got a nice apology letter and six vouchers for any drink of any size. So I'm quite happy with them at the moment and I can enjoy the drinks without having to feel guilty at the price for six future visits
Also complained at end of July about our holiday to a Parkdean holiday park. Caravan was filthy and we'd waited extra because the cleaners were meant to be late handing in the keys. Toilet seat was broken and a whole list of other broken things and faults, only a few of which were sorted.
I sent a letter to complain and listed all the faults and said I wasn't happy with the standard of the caravan etc. Expected an apology and maybe a little money back, as we had stayed the week as planned. Got an apology and offered either a set amount of money or a free weeks holiday whenever we wanted with no conditions and for the same amount of people etc.
We'd been before with no problems and really like the park so accepted the week holiday instead of the money. So next year we'll not have to worry about saving towards a holiday as it's already booked and free.0 -
No - but it should be moved to another boardI have written a letter of complaint to Whiskas. I purchased the 12 sachets of whiskas oh so fishy and was gobsmacked when I realised they had cost me £3.99 for the 12 sachets. Then kittys didn't eat it. Tescos cat food is only £1.90ish for 12 so I told them it is vastly overpriced and over-rated

NoComplained to National Express once when the coach which I was booked onto didn't stop at Stratford (East London). Was on the phone to their customer services enquiring where the coach was to which they made excuses such as there being an accident there, which there wasn't as I was standing there. Anyhow, spoke to a supervisor, wrote in and got a cheque for £7.96 (petrol money to get me to victoria station) and £10 travel voucher.0

This thread as just reminded me that i wrote to the Royal Mail, a few weeks ago, about one of their post office workers at our local post office, did it online, about how good of a service i recieved, and heard nothing, i was just wondering if this ever got to the person. thought i might have got an email back just to let me know that it was passed on.Hoping that when I start looking after the pennies, and the pounds will take care of them selves :j0

NoI wrtote an entertaining and light hearted comedy of errors letter to specsavers - praising one member of staff and slating the rest - everything for 6 months has been a nightmare - even had to chase the letter up but i got 3 months of free contact lenses and two pairs of free coloured lenses.... plus apolgies galore. its worth taking the time to write regarding bad service as its just not acceptable. Most of my problems centered around poorly trained weekend staff. they were really embarrassed and promised to look at retraining and better supervision.... we shall see!Terriblesaver - hoping to improve!!! I emailed to ask Doves Farm & Hovis why I can no longer buy particular of their products at my local supermarket and whether they could suggest alternative suppliers. Neither have replied to me after a week.0

NoHave written to Rizla a couple of times regarding their faulty products and each time they have responded with a letter including replacements of the faulty items. Each time I tell them what is wrong with and and how to improve them. Each time they send the standard letter. Sent off the third letter 2-3 weeks ago enclosing 5 faulty mini rollers and havent heard anything. I am really disappointed.
Generally I would say if a product doesnt live up to its stated purpose we have the right to and should complain. How else will they get feed back?Veteran Bargain Hunter -
