NoHi GUys HELP needed
Ned to find the e-mail/telephone number of mr whiting who I believe is the MD for phones 4U I have big complaint and want to get to the top with it - any suggestions of where I might find it???
Thanks0 -
Hi guys I applied for the free "Veet Sample" advertised on the freebies board. After using the item I came out in a slight rash on my leg and so wrote an email to the company stating what had happened. The same day as my complaint I received an email asking me if they could phone me to discuss the problem further as it would help with their research. So after discussing how I had used the product etc etc. with a nice young lady on the phone I was told that my answers would be passed to their research department and I may be contacted again in the future. 2 Weeks later I received a cheque for £26 for my discomfort. Result or What!!!
Good luck to everyone when making a complaint and just remember to be honest and nice as its not the fault of the person to whom you are complaining to they are just doing there job.Remember is nice to be important but more important to be nice0 -

All i could find is that Phones4u are owned by the caudwell group which was founded by Hohn and Brian Caudwell (John seems to be the more prominent one) So i would write to him at: The Caudwell Group.

NoI complained at a Pizza Hut the other day. My and the husband ordered a Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Feast to take out. When we got home (a good 15min drive away) we sat down to eat our pizza we found sprinklings of mushrooms on the top, not baked in but obviously dropped on the top from another pizza. Neither of us can stand mushrooms so it all went into the bin.
I phoned to complain, and after about 5 mins on hold I got through to the Manager. He was quite rude with me after I told him I was unable to drive all the way back over to pick up a replcement pizza, but I stood my ground and eventually he told me he would send replacement vouchers in the post!

Does anybody know who i might complain to about a pair of Quiksilver shorts i bought at the start of summer. The stitching has come away around the belt area and the poppers are so stiff they've ripped away from the pockets when opening.
I didnt buy them locally and I cant seem to find anything on the web site. Also I know most Quiksilver shops are franchises so will only help with items purchased from their stores.
A friend also bought a similiar pair of Quiksilver shorts where ther stictching has come away as well... do you think it's worth me mentioning this?
Also, where do i stand consumer rights wise?
Thanks in advance for your help guys!0 -
NoFrom my experiences in the past for genuine complaints I have most of the time had good results, a can of Felix cat food, rusty inside, result 2 packs of 24 cans of Felix delivered by the Area manager in person, chocolate with what appeared to be mould on (after testing was correct) result several large bars of chocolate and £5 in vouchers, peice of what appeaered to be COAL in a corn flakes box (I make sure I keep some of the object in case of no reply, then turn it over to Trading Standards or local Health dept) result, £5 in cheque and coupons value £5. But I don't just complain about food, have complained in the past about service in supermarkets, hotels, etc,
even down to electrical equipment that has failed just after the warranty has run out, I am currently dealing with a large camera, printer, electrical company about 2 of their products, 1 which is 19 months old (out of warranty, but showed that there is something wrong with it after having it repaired 9 times in 12 months) engineer came yesterday and fitted all new parts, and included in this claim is a second item which has broken down with exactly the same problem as the first, this one is being replaced completely........ so it pays to have a moan, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to complain for justice....... and if you injure yourself like the lady in Tesco cutting her forehead on shelf supports, or slipping on the wet patch where someone has spilt some liquid, make sure you firstly REPORT it there and then, get them to record the injury as REQUIRED BY LAW, and then complain to their head office.
If you go out for a meal and fall ill later that day or the following day, phone them to report it, speak to the manager if you don't get much help from them or a denial then, get in touch with the local council Enviromental Health department, they WILL look into it if it has made you ill.
I always make sure if I have done a letter of complaint, send it RECORDED DELIVERY and address it to the Director of the company ask them what they are going to do about it and how they are going to repair the injry and bad feeling that has been caused by them.
DONT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT, COMPLAIN
(Sorry about the upper case, but I want you to see these bits, make them jump out at you so you can complain, don't be scared to complain about anything)The Looney o:EasterBunf Loughborough..0 -

I have been told that the product MUST be fit for its purpose... obviusly a pair of shorts' purpose is to be worn for a repeated number of times without falling a part, so they are not, so they would have to refund or at leas replace them. But this might be wrong as it is only what i have been told0 -

Hi all
I have just had two results from complaint e-mails i sent 10 days ago....
1) I had a box of weetabix choc chip minis (which my kids adore and eat loads of) which was half crumbs. The chocolate weetabix had obviously got crushed somewhere between the manufacturer and my home although the box was fine. I wrote an e-mail to say how dissapointed i was as my children wont eat the crumby bit and recieved a letter of apology this morning along with £3 of vouchers for weetabix.
2) I bought my daughter a high 'princess' bed for her 3rd birthday last November and she absolutely loves it. However i noticed whilst changing her bed that you could feel the outline of the springs which i would not like to sleep on. She is the only person to have slept on the bed and as she weighs only about 2 and a half stone i didnt think this was acceptable. I e-mailed argos and after giving them a few details they sent a new matress out on monday (11th). It is still not great quality and if i will complain again if the springs are uncomfortable again in a months time. But i was impressed by the service.
Soooo to all those who are wondering wether or not to bother....please do as the results can be good without too much hassle!!

For help with letters... try:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/templates/default.aspx
Make sure you search for 'templates' and type in 'complaint' for many examples you can pick and mix from!
This site is also good for any other types of letters, budgets, invitations etc etc you don't want to create from scratch! It bascially covers the whole MS Office package.:rotfl: Abelardina :eek:0 -
