  • Hi all

I've been reading this board recently and found the courage to make a genuine complaint to Nestle. I bought 3 kitkat chunky's on separate occassions and all 3 times the code for some "win a shirt" competition thing had been transfered to the top of the chocolate bar. I sent them an email from their website without registering and just over a week later (they did say it could take at least a week for a reply) I receieved a letter from them with an apology, stating that the ink is safe and the ink transfer may been due to transport conditions. I received a £3 cheque as a good will gesture.

I'm glad I contacted them, it took me very little time to write the email and has reassured me that the ink was food safe, the cheque is a bonus.

I think it's okay to complain, how else are companies going to get things right otherwise? I've been complaining to Asda recently over being charged too much and then not being told about the giftcard policy. I wasn't getting anywhere and my phone calls and emails were being ignored until I said I was giving Asda a week and then making a complaint to Trading Standards. I also said I wanted something for the inconvenience. I had an email today asking for my address so they could send me a giftcard so result there.

My next mission is complaining about Heinz 'Special Creamy Roasted Chicken Soup' it is disgusting and the only special thing about it is the taste, yuck. Also Horlicks sachets, the perforations on the packs are rubbish and when I try to use them they rip into the other sachet and I end up with half of the pack on the side and floor, I'm 29 but I imagine for some people this would be even more difficult.

Will post results here asap, good luck with all your queries

I've actually come to my pc to write complaint letter to Tesco re their own brand stain remover spray (usually buy vanish but in a MSE stylee economy drive decided to save 30p!! HA!)
Used it as directed and got bleachy type spray marks on 2 items of clothing - 1 being my sons pair of GAP combats. I am not happy to say the least! I intend to take pics to email to them but i am interested what others think i should expect from Tesco? At least i want a free bottle of Vanish as their own make is s***e!
But the combats are £30 worth....do you think they will cough up for the clothes??

Please let me know when/if you get a giftcard siren13577. I emailed Asda my address (complained about their fruit cocktails) more than a month ago, and I still haven't got anything in the post, no written apology, nothing. How thorough can their investigation be, how long can it take? Hmmmmm

  • MY daughter (age 10) is being trained up well. She had a bar of cadbury's whole nut (small) that only had two nuts in it. She wrote and complained and has now got a £2.50 voucher, she is well pleased.
