I emailed Sainsburys about a fortnight ago about the packaging of a few of their frozen food products. The portions were all packaged up in pairs and covered in frozen sauce so if you're single, or in a family with an odd number, you can't separate them and end up throwing portions away that you can't reheat  .

It was only meant to be a suggestion email, rather than a full on complaint, and I didn't even expect a response to be honest. But they replied within 24 hours with a nice, understanding email saying my message was being forwarded on to the appropriate Dept and they were sending me a voucher!!

A couple of days later a £10 gift voucher arrived in the post. :j

I was wondering how you think I should go about this:

I went to a seafood restaurant which has 2 branches. I got food poisoning and was forced to pay; I asked if the one dish that had made me ill could be taken off the bill and I was threatened with police action so I paid and left as I was too sick to argue. This was from the manager. I hear the owner flits between the 2 branches so was planning to write to (him?) at the other one but I don't know if (he?) will get it...I was upset and it ruined my summer holiday; a grand 28 hours away as it's all I can afford.

I emailed the makers of Bath Power (Ozkleen) to congratulate them on making a product that actually works and they sent me, by courier, a box containing 6 x 500ml bottle of their Bath, Kitchen and Carpet Power plus a pack of cleaning cloths and a pack of ready -to-use wipes.

It is the first time i have emailed a company i liked, and am blown away by their response. I have emailed complaints to Somerfield about cat food so will wait to see what they say.............

I had never complained to a company, until last week.
I sent a very tongue-in-cheek email to Andrex after finding a little piece of melted plastic stuck to their toilet roll.
I wasn't expecting any reply, let alone 2 X £3 vouchers for their products and a very apologetic email (I don't know how they were able to reply with a straight face)! And only a couple of days later too.

That bought 12 rolls of quilted toilet paper. My bum is very happy! lol :D

I have become a complainer too!!

I got a packet of Walkers Square crips out of the muilti pack and the corner was stuck like glue to the muilti pack and there was only 3 crisps in the packet! I wrote and they sent me £3.00 in vouchers.

My dad was sold an airline ticket from Thomas Cook without being informed he needed a visa for staying over 3 months. My husband and I wrote a letter for him and he received back the money they charged him to change his flight dates.

Went out for dinner to a 2 for 1 pub last week waited around 45 mins for our food, we got free puddings and drinks because of our wait.
