I had a good result from O2 phones. DH and I had 2 contract mobiles and we were seriously overcharged. We did get a refund previously but I complained about the length of time it took to get it sorted and the shoddy customer service. They gave me another refund as goodwill! Well chuffed!

    It does pay to complain.

Poppyrog - I would take a photo of the offending caterpillar and the damage it caused, so that you have evidence. But not completely sure about it. Good luck though!

Just be honest and detail what happened and how much both/ distress this has caused you (without exaggerating/ being rude).

    And send it recorded delivery

    Thanks Bonsibabe.

I've taken a picture of it and called their customer service. They have taken the details and I am posting Sally (the caterpillar, sad I know to name it but she has been with us a few days and I feel sorry for her) to them to investigate it.

Obviously after thinking about it I can't release her because she may have come all the way from Kenya and god knows what she may to do our countryside and wildlife! She could create a mutant breed or have diseases.

    I'll keep you updated.

Bought a child safety kit (plug socket covers, cushioned corners etc) a while ago and now my little 'un is just about crawling decided to open it. Completely my mistake as I should have checked when we bought it, but there were parts missing. I went to our local store and they no longer had them so I went home and emailed customer services asking where the nearest stockist was. The next morning the missing parts turned up by first class post.

    Super Customer Service.:j

Hi there as posted in another thread i made.. i won some virgin vie products. i won 3 times - 2 pairs of earings and a voucher... i used the voucher and paid for postage the other two were freebies... in one box i got some lovely earings packaged brilliantly... but in the bottom of the cardbord box was 2 alive wriggling maggots!!i took some photos (im not 100% sure they were maggots about an inch long, creamy orange in colour with stripes on them, they could of been baby caterpillas i dont know!) but anyway i phoned them in discust and got a few apoloagies over the phone but ive hurd nothing... i know i shouldnt settle for this.

What advice can anyone give me in my next steps.

    Kindest Regards

I was wondering how you think I should go about this:

I went to a seafood restaurant which has 2 branches. I got food poisoning and was forced to pay; I asked if the one dish that had made me ill could be taken off the bill and I was threatened with police action so I paid and left as I was too sick to argue. This was from the manager. I hear the owner flits between the 2 branches so was planning to write to (him?) at the other one but I don't know if (he?) will get it...I was upset and it ruined my summer holiday; a grand 28 hours away as it's all I can afford.

i think you will find that if you got sick whilst you were still in the restuarant it couldnt have been that that made you ill as it would take a few hours at least, between eating then being sick with food poisoning.
this would make it very hard to prove that you actually got the food poisoning from his resturant.
i only know this as i had food poisoning last year but as i had eaten at 2 resturants within 24 hours i couldnt prove who gave it to me.

I sent an email to Costa yesterday complaining about my tea not cooling down to a drinkable temperature for half an hour (nearly had to chuck it away because the coach policy was not to let anyone eat/drink on board so I smuggled it on) and the cup leaking from the side, hopefully I'll hear back from them soon

    .

this is just madness, i think its being taken to far complaining about things like this, its the same as complaining about water thats too wet or ice thats too cold.

Agree fully here...also, health and safety on the coach should have been observed - the cup was leaking already when you smuggled it on board - and if you'd spilt this *boiling hot* beverage on a fellow passenger? What then, they'd be suing the coach company for not complying with making sure no one had food and drink on board...extreme I know..but in this compensation mad culture we're living in...to my mind, what you did was just plain daft! and I think Costa will be laughing...

No - but the title needs to change
The post man has just been... I know I think he's been home all morning with his feet up or something!

LOL anyway... I don't care about that I complained to McDonalds the other day because i'm sick of my local nothing good about it!

I got... a complimentary Meal to the value or £5 voucher!
One email and a free meal i'd say thats a success!
I'll just be sure to use it at a different restaurant!
I'm an MSE SLACKER!!!! Slap my bum.
