Yes I did provoke her, by asking her to engage in a conversation with meSo here is the long story.
There was a long queue with just one person serving and another two could be seen chatting. when I was finally served, the transaction was done in complete silence, The lady did not acknowledge me, there was no apology for the wait, no offer of a bag and no apology for giving me the change all in coins. All this did not bother me but as I checked the change, one of the coins was a Gibralter pound coin which is not a legal tender in the UK. I asked her if she could swap this for me. She then looked so angry at me as if I had dared to speak to her. she then went mental and started to rant and rave that there was nothing wrong with it. I tried to explain that it was not a legal tender. She continued to rant and then she slapped the coin down on the counter, flatly refused to change it for me, dismissed me just like that and proceeded to continue to serve other customers.
I asked to speak to the manager who also didnt have a clue but told the lady to just change it for me anyway. She disobeyed her manager and still refused to change it. After the manager left to get me the customer service number, the lady still continued to rant which included threatening remarks.
I did not complain to get compensation, I just could not allow someone to get away with something as serious as that. The lady needs anger management!
I have to day recieved a letter of apology which stated that the lady in question has been suspended pending disciplinery action and also a cheque for £50.0 -

I am not normally one to complain for the sake of it most of the time I just can't be bothered, i'll only complain if it is 'valid'.
I've recently complained to Sainburys about a bottle of their ownbrand orangeade. I order food online and ordered 4 bottles of it, did not realise anything was wrong (they all got put in the fridge) till I went to use one of the bottles. One of the bottles contents was yellow instead of orange and had a strange taste to it, yes I still tried it as thought it was just a little faded on colour. The other bottles were fine. I contacted the supermarket by email just to let them know about the product incase there was a problem with the batch. I worded it all very nicely and just asked for someone to look into it.
I got a very nice response from them asking for more details and a phone call to say they are looking into it. About a week later I got another lovely email with a detailed response about what they think the problem is and they are going to monitor it from now on and another follow up telelphone call (it was something about them trying to remove artificial colours, flavours and preservatives from drinks causing a colour fade). They have also sent me a £5 voucher for bringing it to their attention. I was more than happy with this as the bottle was only 44p! I would of been happy with that or another bottle of pop!
I sent them an e-mail back to thank them for their kind and helpful service, always be nice to people I say!0 -

They didn't he then rang the technician came back on the phone to me & said well there was water damage to laptop from spillage or left in damp!!! He said oh they no longer take photos of the damage but you can send it back and pay £120 for assesment then cost of parts! or claim on house insurance!! Why should I do that when it wasn't me that spilt anything on it! I'm fuming! It's there word against mine and I'm a t a loss!! £500 down the drain!!! Any help would be appreciated
Hi, I don't actually have any advice for you...I just wanted to sympathise, I will never never never buy anything from PC World ever again as their customer service is terrible. I got a laptop from them a couple of years ago and in its first year (the year it was under warranty) it was with them a total of 4 months for 3 different, unconnected issues (all not my doing)! They also would not give me a replacement although did not attempt to charge me for anything.
I think maybe go down to the store and talk to someone in person? Idk, I'm sure someone else will be more helpful.0 -

Anyone have any experience of complaining to GHD? My straightners are on the blink and you'd think that they would be a bit more durable for the price!0

Hi Just need a little advice please.
I had a problem with a Charles Worthington conditioner, it wouldn't come out of the container properly, however much I squeezed, it just dribbled out. Anyway I sent a really nice email and got a reply asking for a little more information and they would send me a replacement which I received in the post today with a very nice letter of apology, however they sent me a shampoo instead of a conditioner.
Im pleased i received something and the cost is the same so it doesnt bother me too much, but my hubby said he thinks I sould email to say thank you but you sent the wrong one, hoping they will also send a conditioner. This seems a bit mean to me as I have the same monetary value in the shampoo and I am happy. Any thoughts please.0
