YesI am sure you know you do not need a receipt to return an item when it is faulty.
i remember once doing that with a pair or trainers that split. I did not have the receipt but they were only a few weeks old. The smart-!!! shop assistant said that they wont refund/replace without a receipt. I said I did not need one she then said but you do as how do i know you bought them from here? To which I told her if I have bought them from somewhere else I would be standing somewhere else having this argument.
She promptly swapped the trainers.Self confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

:rotfl:
Hmm...maybe we'll give it another try...at the time they were having a sale, there was a queue behind us and we are standing there showing them something which looked like a cleaning rag so I was alittle embarressed! It's been alittle more than 28 days now though...does that matter (since I don't have the receipt to prove this and they are still stocking the t-shirt at full price...)?0 -
NoOK I know this is a strange (and small) complaint - but we had a McDonalds take away today and paid for large chips - the guy who served my fiance didnt give him a receipt and as he was using the drivethrough and was alone - he didnt check the order.
When he got home both chips were medium sized!
Is it worth e-mailing McDonalds about this - and if so, how?0 -

i wouldnt reccomend emailing them as all emails go to the head office but if the store is a franchise they do nothing about it, as i have found out, i got the best response from calling the store itself and they told me to come in and get a totally free meal the whole family0 -
No - but it should be moved to another boarddisney_cjd wrote: »I dealt with them just after they bought Vigin Megastore. Complete nightmare to get through on phone or email. In teh end I had to write.
a game I ordered never arrived. They sent another one by next day courier so not too bad in the end
I cannot even find those details...do you have an address to which I can write that you could give me, please?
They told me I could return sale items, I did return 3 out of 12 items the day aftet purchase and was then told no and was verbally abused by 3 members of staff and left the store on the verge of tears.0 -
NoOK, this may seem a bit strange but just want to get your thoughts.
A few months ago I was travelling along the Windsor Relief Road (dual Carriageway) on my way to work when a Stag ran out in front of me, I hit the stag (stag was fine and ran off), but my car was wrecked (£4K worth of damage). My insurance company paid out, but I had to pay an increased excess, I had no hire car and I have lost all of my 10 years no claims bonus because the insurance company class it as an act of god and they have no third party to claim anything back from. I also missed 3 days of work because I had to sort out the car repairs and get a hire car etc. I was extremely shaken but not really hurt and I wouldnt pretend I was so I dont want to make a claim for anything like that, I have just heard that the Queen owns all the Stags in the Windsor parks and thought maybe if I write to her I may be able to get something done about the estate putting up fences to stop the stags being able to run onto the roads. I know I am not going to get a personal reply, but it may do some good, what do you guys think ??0 -

If it's windsor great park (don't know if it is) they've escaped from try contacting the park management team.
You never know the queen might invite you for a tea!:D

What about asking to get the roads there closed/destroyed and give back peace and tranquility to the nature there... THAT would do some good.
:rolleyes:the insurance company class it as an act of god
ah it's god you have to complain to, not the queen then!
really I just think your insurance sucks - and lose your 10yrs bonus because of something like that is not fair ... (but probably insurance are all the same I suppose, touch wood and monkey skin, I'll never know how rubbish mine is as well0 -

That would be the best idea, but unfortunatley I dont think that a letter to the queen from me will help with this issue  this coming from someone who spends her whole life avoiding rabbits down the lane where I live and spent a good ten minutes crying when my OH ran over one !0 -
NoHi!
If you hit a deer an did all that damage to your car I would be very supprised if the animal was ok! Don't you have to report such a collision to the police or is that just domestic animals? You cant have everything; where would you put it?Reclaimed: marbles c/card-£131.00,MBNA c/card-£385.00,Capital One c/card-£230.00,Natwest c/card-£248.68,Nationwide PPI-£1590.88,Nationwide c/card-£56.21,Barclays PPI-£2805.280
