I just did my first complaint, I slipped over at Sainsburys. I've ended up with a bunch of flowers and.......................15,000 nectar points (£75) bravo Sainsburys on this and speed.....it only happened monday night! and before anyone says I could have got more, I'm not even bruised, just a little sore in spots!

And the staff at the time were lovely so I did compliment them in the same message so they've had a pat on the back for good customer service into it as well :D
Just become FTBs & Aiming to be mortgage free by 2034

Thank you to all who post on the comps/freebies forums
you've helped us save our deposit :money:
  • I have written a few, I wrote to Disney Pixar about my monopoly game as the amounts of money the instructions told you to use were more than was supplied, they apologised & sent me a revised instruction booklet & another full set of game pieces & dice...
I also wrote to Kit Kat about their Easter Egg promotion this year & they sent me a cheque for £20 to replace them, as my kids recieved the gift eggs with 'activity vouchers' which were only of use for over 18's??? Are most eggs not usually for under 18's???
I complained twice about ebay goods that I got sent - supposedly original boxset discs of tv shows that were copies I paid £50 for & after receiving copies of ok condition, I got my full amount refunded & was still able to see the programmes...not that a copy was what I really wanted, but I think i came out ok...
I also wrote to several companies about gameparts that were missing in our games at home & they've sent out free replacement parts...
I am really enjoying complaining - it's becoming addictive! :rotfl:

Well, i'm going to be complaining to Land Rover (not that i expect anything, just want to vent!!) that was the first & last time i'll ever be buying a British make car!

My Freelander is only just 4 years old, and I finished paying for it in December 07. It cost me £15,000 and so far i've had to pay for:

    1) Not one but TWO new Head Gaskets & engine re-builds, as both went outside of the warranty period.
    2) New hoses and water pump
    2) A new exhaust & Catalytic converter as the last one dropped off in it's entirety whist reversing at very slow speed into a parking space.
    3) Both the regulators & motors have gone (strangely at the same time) in my driver & rear door.
    4) The electrics are shot - My interior lights keep going and one brake light keeps going - and when it does it shorts the others out also..

So far, i've had to call the RAC out & be brought home on a low-loader on 4 occasions & i've spent £4-5k on garage repair bills.:eek::eek:

This is terrible as we just had a baby 6 months ago & all this had to come out of the savings we'd put aside to tide us over while I was on Maternity leave - subsequently i had to return to work after just 6 months, not the 12 months we'd accounted for. The knock on effect is that I'm having to pay 6 months nursery fee's we weren't expecting to be paying... as i should be at home looking after my baby for this period.

Blooming Land Rover. Not a reliable car - NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I e-mailed a complaint to BT's CEO on Wednesday, my Dad has been trying to order a broadband connection with them since March with no success.

    24 hours later...broadband was connected!

I also emailed the CEO of BT, over a ton of things - taking 6 wks to connect my internet when I moved, taking £348 out of my bank account that I didn't owe them and saying they couldn't put it back, and continuing to charge me for someone elses phone bill. I had spent literally hours and hours on the phone to BT. I emailed the CEO, the same day I had my own high level complaints officer, she got the £348 returned to my bank, the phone bill stopped and the money refunded, 3 months free broadband and they sent me wine to apologise!

I don't usually bother to write, except I was so bl**dy mad at Mr T's the other day, I came home and banged out one straight away, I wasn't after any compensation, but they did reply with an apology + £10.00 voucher.

No - but the title needs to change
I recently wrote to Gillette complaining about their new Venus Breeze razors. You are not meant to need shaving foam with these razor blades as they have special strips of soap stuff on the blade. After the first time I used it the soap strip fell off so I wrote a complaint letter. I also told them I think razor blades are too expensive. I received a £10 voucher in the post this week. My first ever complaint letter! V pleased!
have you got an email or postal address for them i used my razor once and the soap has just fallen off
    thankz
