Correct, its a fugure of speach to emphasise how much of a scare i got when I thought i'd found a large bug i my crisps.

Must admit, I had to read your post twice as thought you meant it in the literal sense! LOL!

    Could somebody help me please?
I need to complain to Rimmel about one of their mascaras that I bought, the bristles are falling out and actually went into my eye and left my eye swollen and sore for two days. The trouble is I cant find their email adress anywhere... Or Coty who they are run by. :(

    Thanks x
Try writing to Customer services of the shop that you bought the mascara in, enclosing the product and the receipt if you still have it. They should take up the complaint on your behalf.

After 3 months of rubbish service I really REALLY want to complain to Laura Ashley. I have hunted all over, and found an email on their site, which I sent a note off too... of course the auto-reply is still the same as in January saying they are super busy and it might take 2 weeks for anyone to even get back to me in the first instance.

I'd like to back up my complaint by sending it in writing via a letter. But who / where should I send it? I can't find an address to post it to! Any help really appreciated. Oh, I should say, I bought items online, not from a specific store.

    Thanks.

As an aside, to add to the reports: I complained to Tesco Direct recently about a 4-pack of lightbulbs which had one defective one in it (my local Express store didn't sell them, and it's an hour round trip to the big store) - I had the delivery note & the item ready to send back. They just did a straight refund of 25% of the item price - effective - the price of one bulb! But I still have to find another bulb, and don't want to buy another pack of 4 LOL.

my MORPHY RICHARDS kettle broke & I couldn't find the receipt anywhere with us just having an extension I assumed it had been thrown away, so I threw the kettle away & bought a new one. Last week I came accross the receipt & emailed them explaining that the kettle had been thrown away but I still had the receipt that was a garuntee for 3 years. They asked me to scan the receipt and send them a copy. I got email today saying they are sending me a replacement kettle, excellent customer service I think!! :)
BEEN AWAY FOR A WHILE NOW BACK TO COMPING BIG STYLE!! :p

I complained to Old el Paso (Betty Crocker company) about some flour tortillas I bought as I was making enchiladas for a group of people one night. The problem was that they were stuck together to the point where when trying to pull them apart they ripped each others to shreds. As I had already cooked most of the dinner when this happened it ruined my plans. They were very good, apologised and sent me £20 of grocery vouchers which I just handed in at Tesco and they deducted it from my bill.
Since then I have never had the same problem again (I'm sure nothing to do with my complaint). I think it's important for the companies to demonstrate change/ act on valid complaints to improve their services. Equally I think it's important for us to reflect upon any improvement/ good service with the occasional thank you letter/email. I've sent a quick note off to Old el Paso to say what an improvement I've noticed.
    Regards

I got £8 of Muller vouchers (all £1, so I don't have to use £8 at once) as I had a problem with my fruit corner :(

Has any1 got any experience dealing with Primark? I've been trying to get some response from them because some red pj's i bought my baby stained his high chair pink (it not even like they got wet or anything- the dye just seems to have rubbed off on it). The dye is completely unshiftable and even got on his skin (thankfully with no bad reaction apart from having to scrub it off). I just keep getting 'we're dealing with your complaint'- not very helpful! His high chair is ruined!
