I wrote a complaint to Royal Mail after they messed up my redirection application. I went to the Post Office to set up my redirection, with ID and money, and had the application sent off. Nothing happened for 2 weeks. Turns out they sent the application back to my old address, which is 220 miles away and empty (luckily the landlord did a final check of the property and found the letter), claiming I didn't pay for it or provided ID. This led to trips to the Post Office and calls to Royal Mail to get it sorted, eventually resending the application with proof that I did pay and shown the ID to the Post Office staff, which they confirmed in the application in the first place, as well as having to go down to the old address to pick up any mail that wasn't redirected (the landlord isn't local).
Got a reply, while they admit they made a mistake (they "missed" the Post Office stamp in the application). They will not "refund the fees requested for travelling expenses, as this is classed as consequential" which I didn't ask for specifically, just that they compensate for the time and resources that is wasted because of an error by one of their employees (which they have admitted to).
So where do I stand now? Any advice is appreciated.0 -

Noi complain to sainsbury's all the time about the quality of their food or something isn't right. i always get between £5 & £10 vouchers, it doesn't seam to take much to get this out of them either, especially when you only giving them feedback. My Signature is MY OWN!!0
