I have never really been a complainer but I purchased a pair of pyjamas from Tesco the other day, just cotton trousers and a cami top, the cami top has tree heart shaped buttons on the front, I wore them the other day and was alarmed to find my arm was quite badly cut !, the buttons on the cami top are razor sharp !, I am happy to just chop the buttons off as they dont serve a purpose (just for decoration), or should I complain to tesco ?, am I likely to get anything for the trouble of sending them back etc ??

I would complain if i were you- email them and see what they say (they might want a pic of the cut and the top sant back so they can have a look). If you're not very confident complaining then sending an email is great because you remove the confrontation. Good luck

when i complained to boots, they werent very good they didnt offer me anything like other people have been offered. What kind od things do you say in the email to them? I bought a bottle of drink from asda the other day, it was meant to be a kids drink but it was cheap so i bought it, when i tried to open i couldnt get the safety catch thingy off, so i tried again and it snapped off, going under my nail and cutting me, and it really hurt. Is this worth a complaint, as if its for kids and i couldnt do it surely its a bit dangerous?

    Thanks Vicky xx

I would send the Cami top back to Tesco Dundee with a letter ... emails tend to get a bit scimmed over ... but if they have the item in their hands they will do something about ....

Do make a point of explaining that you were hurt ... QC is for just such things and should have been done ....

you may want to keep one of the buttons and take pictures of everything as proof

  • well, pets at home replied today saying, we weren't in any distress, well, what were we supposed to do, burst out into tears in front of the poor owner of the deceased guinea pig?
They basically brushed it off, took ages to reply, and kinda made it look like we were lying.
They also said that the guinea pig (which was dead in a box) was removed very quickly from the counter, this was only because the manager wanted to look at it.
The final point they made was that the conversation was finished very quickly. This was not the case, as the conversation (to the poor owner about how it died) lasted at least 5 minutes, and then we left.
Nothing offered not even a proper apology.
Not happy about their customer service to say the least!

I had an unpleasant experience at a Vue cinema recently and e-mailed them to complain. Basically me and my best friend went to watch Jumper at one of the afternoon showings and the screen was freezing cold to the point whether everyone watching (probably only about 15 people max) started to put their coats on and snuggle up to eachother. We complained to the staff twice who told us they'd "sort it". Then after 40 minutes we just left...it was too cold to even concentrate on the movie. I've never experienced such discomfort in a cinema before.

The manager at the cinema was rude, so I e-mailed via the website. The lady who dealt with my complaint was very sweet and said she'd like to invite me back as her "guest" with 3 complimentary tickets.
