  • Came for a bit of advice!

Bought some GHDs last summer, and recently they've just stopped heating up properly. They want me to send them back to them, but I'm a bit reluctant.. They cost over £100! Anything else I can do?

I recently bought a packet of strawberries from the tesco online service.I can remember when i signed up it said that the products are hand picked for you and they choose the ones with the latest expiration date.In my packet of strawberries there was a grey furry one sitting right in the middle.IF they had picked carefully then they would not have giving me a mouldy pack of strawberries.took me about 10 mins to find an email for the site as well

I sent an e-mail to merlin entertainment group to complain that I had not been advised when we brought our passes at the end of last season that Merlin were planning to add loads more parks to the pass at the start of the new season.

I only found out because they sent me a letter telling me about all the benifits new pass holders would get. It also said on the letter that if you all ready had a pass you could not up grade and had to wait till next year.

This got me so cross, as we often visit Lego land.

To cut a long story short they offered us 4 new anual passes for just £45. I now have an anual pass for my son even though he didn't have one before. I was also really pleased as the new passes were isued with a full year on them so we managed to get 16 months park use for four people for just £45. :j

Apologies before I start - this could be the wrong board/thread, but it seemed vaguely relevant.

Quick summary - bought Hotpoint dishwasher Jan07 - broke down last weekend (only initial official 12 month warranty) - I thought that sales of goods act would cover me (pretty reasonable to expect dishwasher to last more than 14 months?). Supplier of aforementioned dishwasher said that they would only assist with repair if the fault was found to be inherent, if it wasn't then it was just wear and tear (don't agree with this bit myself).

Bought dishwasher on credit card so sent off a letter to credit card company last week citing Consumer Credit act - awaiting response

Any suggestions what to do next? Do the credit card company chase the supplier, or do they themselves have a responsibility for the product to work (which would seem a bit strange to me).

    any experiences/thoughts/comments much appreciated
    Nick

(in the meantime have realised how much I haven't missed doing the washing up!)

I am assuming by the 'supplier' you mean the shop manager, maybe go to the director of the company and see how they react, also include poor after sales service for the attitude of the person you spoke to, did you get their name, it always looks better if you cna mention names, position date and an around about time you spoke to them.

If you can not find the head of the company's name on the internet, if you come back here soemone will be able to get it for you. They are often very good on this forum
