About 3.5 years ago we bought a bath from Plumbworld.co.uk. It is a Rhinobath, meant to be almost indestructable and never to crack. You guessed it, it cracked just recently. Emailed plumbworld and sent them a picture of the crack they requested, they eventually said it was down to the manufacturer, and it took two emails to find out the manufacturer had gone out of business. Further into the email exchange they said that baths tended to crack when fitted wrongly! I then wrote to the MD (snail mail - private and confidential to ensure he actually saw it!) including copies of the email exchange, and we are now getting a free replacement bath!! RESULT. We still have to fit it etc, but at least we don't have to pay for something that we should not have to replace yet anyway.

has anyone ever complained to Sky?

We had a man round yesterday and we were thinking of getting sky anyway. to cut a long story short we were sold a sky plus box & 4 mixes he then said we could get the movies free for 3 months, broadband & talk time for what he siad £18 a month. Great so far........

we were busy today so tonight we sat and read the customer copy he had left us which said that we were to pay £28 a month & not only that he had himself put my dads initials where it said initial if you are satisfied. fraud yes???

rang sky & she said on the phone that we had chose teh movies explaind that he siad that was free for 3 months she had no idea, told us to ring him so he could confirm what he had offered us he left no contact details she said he should have, then she said that the 4 mixes, broadband & talk time was £19 not £18.

Sorry sooo long winded but it continues they have no customer service number only an address to write to.

We really want to get it sorted before Saturday when they are coming to fit it. Any advice?
    thanks Littlemo

    Hi,

Just thought I would let people know my recent complaint success. To cut a long story short, PC packed in within warranty, aranged collection, stayed off work, didnt turn up 3 days in a row, same for when it was returend but just 1 day lost. I wrote them a big long letter including a DPA letter (for details of all calls made) explaining everything and threatening court action to the value of the lost days holidays and phone calls around £230.00. Sent it to MD, within a week had a nice call from customer service, very apollogetic and offering me products to the value, now looking forward to a new digi camera. It pays to complain when things go wrong!

I recently complained (well, not really a complaint per se) to Cadbury about something and got a £2.50 voucher, a very good reply and the thought that if some of their packaging changes it may be down to me, haha!
