I recently had to send my marriage certificate off to Legal & General. When it was returned they had 'hole punched' it. Half way down the letter there was one line about 'accepting their apologies' but that was all.

I shot a letter off to them quickly saying how annoyed and upset I was, how i would expect better service from them etc etc.

Three days later a letter arrived back full of apologies and an offer of £250 compensation.

Obviously I accepted the money :D but to be honest a proper apology and an offer to pay for a new certificate to begin would have been enough for me.

They can hole punch my marriage certificate if they want to for £250! Well done!

Only ever complained twice, first was in Ireland when a pack of Bacon from a local firm stank. Got a phone call from the MD himself apologising, and a massive pack containing all of their products delivered to my door.... was astonished!!

Second time was a couple of weeks ago to Tesco, Finest Rogan Josh had virtually no meat in it, got a nice letter and a fiver moneycard - dead happy!

    WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!

THEY'RE NOT CALLED PARCEL FARCE FOR NOTHING!!

I to have had a nightmare with parcelforce. I ordered a digital photoframe from play.com. I received notification from play that it had been dispatched so waiting for my parcel to arrive...after 4 days it still hadnt arrived so I logged onto the play.com website and managed to find a tracking number for my parcel. I traced it and it showed as being delivered to a depot close to my address but then for some bizarre reason it was then sent up to a depot in Edinburgh.

I contacted parcelforce via their online query form and complained and said that the parcel should be redelived to my local depot so they could distribute it to me......I received an email telling me to wait 2 days for a reply.....after 2 days still nothing so I ended up sending a v. rude email to customer services and finally someone called me back, the said they needed more info so I provided this and they said they would investigate. I then received a voicemail message to say that they had called both depots and the parcel could not be traced so I would need to complete a claim form which I could get from the post office or online and they would then investigate further......this is absolute rubbish. Anyway today I called Play.com and the guy I spoke to was very helpful and said he would investigate the issue on my behalf and try to organise a replacement or refund.

I am soooooo annoyed as I know that someone has just pinched it

Parcel farce as they have been referred to on this thread are an absolute joke.........their customer service is appauling!

I wrote to ASDA Head Office after my Husband drank Budweiser which was 9 months out of date which we had purchased from the store the night before...no reply for me either. It seems complaints to ASDA Head Office just disappear.

Eeek, the asda complaints don't seem to be handled that well.

Just had to send a complaint in as the woman on the pizza counter shouted at my mum and made her look stupid just for being friendly and saying that the woman didn't have to hurry to serve her (she'd been running from the back through to the front to serve) as she was in no rush. Woman shouted - mum was distressed and just wanted to get out - other customers looked over... not a nice situation.

It's the second time a pizza-maker-person has been rude to us too, one last Thursday was but at the time we didn't do anything, but I'd mentioned it in the email I'd just sent off. Can't be a nice job working on there then
