Complained to Mcvitties about a staple a accidentaly jammed in the side of a biscuit whilst p!ssed and sent it off in the post with a dodgy letter...Got a £10 Postal Cheque (which i cashed for a tenner at the post office) and £6 in McVitties vouchers!!

Haha screw em i'v had dodgy stuff from them before and never complained so that accounts for all them................:)

Sorry, I think I misunderstood your post...

You didn't actually put a staple into a biscuit and send it back, did you?

I think there is a dishonesty offence there somewhere....
  • Huge thumbs down to Nestle, i got a box of After Eights recently, in date, ate one half of a choc and no flavour and tasted like rotten coffee, i felt sick a little after eating it. My dh ate a quarter of another choc and felt the same.

I sent them back special delivery and they wrote back saying it was an off batch, i got the postage refunded and that was it. The store i got them from are still selling the rest of the same batch_pale_

Im really gobsmacked that others here write to Nestle and get vouchers, etc. Guess i shouldnt have sent them to Nestle but to local food standards agency instead.
  • No - but it should be moved to another board
I have just complained to Strongbow as my boyfriend had a bottle of Sirrus Strongbow cider that was flat, I telephoned them as their server was down (complained about that whilst on the phone) they asked for batch numbers etc but the glass recycling lorry had already been so I had no details. They were very apologetic and said they would send me vouchers in the post to compensate. I have not complained before but decided after reading this thread that I would....am glad I did now and certainly will in future shoud the need arise.

    Thanks MSE

My daughter's LG Chocolate phone was playing up, it was 5 months old and the camera and video camera wouldn't work, so we took it back to Argos. First reply was that they would have to send it back to be repaired, to which I said that my daughter would be lost without a phone for that approximately 2 weeks that it would take, he went off out the back to chat to someone and came back saying that they did not have a repair facility for that phone!! My daughter was delighted with a new phone after five months and £20 back, they didn't have the chocolate in so she got to choose a new one! A little alarming though that they may have sent it back and it would have taken ages to find out it could not be repaired anyway, so always worth afguing a little further just to make sure!!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
