NoI bought an egg mayo sandwhich at Greggs in Newcastle yesterday and when i bit into it i found a big piece of plastic in my mouth!!!
It looks like the seal from a big margarine tub, people at work wers saying i sould take it back to the shop and swap it, but i didn want another one! so i though i'd write instead, this could have been realy dangerous.
I just thought i'd post for some letter writing advice. Do i just explain what happened and attach the plastic? Or should i mention how dangerous it could have been etc? Sorry if this sounds silly but I'm not much of a letter writer!
Thanks in advance. It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

NoI was just looking for advice on similar issue - piece of plastic in "taste the difference" salmon mousse, i have the paper packaging and foriegn body which i am going to send in. I was just going to write, "bought this, found the enclosed, unsatisfactory product - spending the extra for better quality but was very disappointed" Is that enough as don't want to go on and on in a letter?0

NO!!!!!!!
DONT SEND IT IN! stop!
they destroy the evidence send them photos never give em the evidence so you can always say I have the evidence and I can complain to food standards agency.
but not all companies destroy the evidence but once they have it, you have nothing to fight with.0 -

No - but the title needs to changeMany years ago i was in a bad mood and the fact that I had just opened my fruit pastilles to find no red ones got me on a rant. My gran joked that i should complain and i did and they sent me £2 to buy several packets so that I would get at least one red one.
Felt a right fool after but I was about 17 so I guess I can be forgiven :AWin £2008 in 2008 member's club number 302008: Iguana, 2 x Cadbury DVD, 3 x Book, Mascara, Chubby Brown DVD, Asterix Wii Game, 3 Beanie Hats, Bag, Armband,
Total: £183 (£1835 to go!) (2007 = £341)0 -

I used to go crazy when my train got delayed on the way to school, I complained several times, all I got was a couple of pounds in vouchers off my travelcard. Not much, but that was about 3 or4 years ago.0 -
YesI bought a pack of chapatis from ASDA yesterday. I went to open them this morning to make my daughters' lunches for school (they have them as wraps cos they're not as big as tortillas) and they were ALL stuck together. They just ripped when I tried to seperate them.
What should I do? Take them back to the shop, email them or somethng else???
throw them away, ASDA products are second rate at the best of times. the cost of petrol and hassle isnt worth it.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

YesYou should definitely complain to Boots, they are a huge company and you should make that manager accountable. You should get her name and the store address and write to head office. You may only get a letter of apology but the manager will get a telling off. The same thing happened to me in a vintage shop the other day, the owner told me to stop picking things up if I wasn't going to buy them!! I couldn't believe it! Unfortunately he's a small trader so I don't think there's anything I can do. Anyway good luck! (This is related to an earlier post someone else wrote)
this is straight out of League of Gentlemen!, didnt think places like that existed anymore.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

ages ago i complained to cadburys that a packet of choc buttons did not have the right texture. they tested it and said there was nothing wrong, but sent me £10 worth of vouchers anyway.
Last year we had a bad attitude from a waitress at TGI's. after complaining we got a £150 voucher to spend on another meal.
On sun i bought a pair of shoes from matalan and when i wore them yesterday, the soles were so slippy i gashed all my knee in as i slid over and smashed my mouth up on the side of my car.- dental work today. I'm currently waiting to hear back off them0 -
