  • Has anyone complained about Felix cat food ?

I have just done my weekly shop and when I got home I opened the box all the pouches were open and there were maggots crawling about

I rung them up and they told me a speel about how they will have got in there and they will send me out a letter of apology - nothing about replacement.

I then rung the supermarket and they said they will give me a straight refund.

    Thanks PP X

I bought a box of pouches and 1 of them had burst. I wrote to Purina of which Felix is part and they sent me a £5 voucher (cost of box of pouches was about £2.49).

If that was human food they'd be in court by now, :eek:maggots:eek:
    Quotes in context only please.

Myself and family went to Wetherspoons a few weeks ago, we've been there before but this time was just awful.
I sent them an email when we got home explaining why this particular visit was so awful and that wouldn't want to go back. ( it wasn't just us that had complaints, 2 couples near us walked out without eating their meal!!)
I thought no more of it until yesterday when i recieved a letter from wetherspoons, an apology explaining what actions they were undertaking and an invite for me and the family for a complimentary meal.
We'll see if anything has changed since we were last there, wish me luck :D
If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.

I bought some frozen chicken from Tesco recently, used half, then when about to cook the other half noticed that one of the pieces of chicken had part of a blue plaster frozen into the 'crease'! YUK!!!!! I was so repulsed I threw it in the bin (although took a photo of it first), not really thinking about saving the packaging. I emailed Tesco about it, and attached the pic, but all they said was that they were sorry for my 'distress' but without the packaging they couldn't investigate it further. No refund, no nothing. Surely the very LEAST I could expect would be a refund?! I emailed back telling them which store I bought it from and the date but they replied with a near word-for-word reply. I know this is Tesco and they'd sell their own mothers before giving something away for free, but seriously - there was a PLASTER in my CHICKEN!!!!!

I would complain again, normally Tesco send out a moneycard, email them or write to them explaining why you think its not good enough and although they can't investigate the matter you have proof and it could have affected you and your familys health! Most things you would just let go but food? I wouldn't! Failing that, send the pic to the food standards people!

I recently complained about not having enough green points for reusing bags in tescos. The Lady at customer services said that if you bought ten items and put one item perbag we would not give you ten points, fair enough but my complaint was I had three bags why couldn't I get three points? Her reply was that your bags need to be filled to the top even if they are heavy and hard to handle. I think this is nonsense I shall be complaining because its not logical to pack a bag to the top and not be able to carry it out of the shop.

your thoughts please. defeats the object of green/environment friendly.
  • I only complain when it's warranted, but some of the reasons for complaints I'm just a bit shocked at. I just can't understand taking the time to complain about toilet paper not ripping "properly". Most of the ones I read are genuine, but to be honest, some are taking the p. The only complaint I can think about is when I got a cake from Starbucks that tasted like East Hull (where there is a dog food factory by a cocoa factory). I got vouchers, but never expected anything, I just wanted them to know the cake was horrible.

Its all in the fact that this topic is wrongly listed under Freebies my friend...there are some who dont seem to tie in legitimate complaints to fair compensation, but instead to an opportunity to scrounge something free

they be in court now anyway because in Britain it is the food standards law that states all animal food must be cosumable by human, part of animal rights, if it isn't good for a human to eat its illegal and they can be taken to court.

But in this case the packets could have been opened in the shop but they gave you an instant refund so you can't really complain any further as no one or anything consumed it and the fault was obvious to the consumer.
