Last month when Clover recalled some tubs of butter my wife rang the helpline and mentioned our daughter was a little poorly the day she had a bit on her toast.
Sent us a cheque for £100. Daughter got a new swing for garden

I've just sent a complaint of to tesco about the standard of the fruit they have been sending me in my online shop and also the way they pack their stuff.
Also complained to the store after I bought some crumpets, fed 2 to my toddler then realised others in the pack were mouldy the lady i spoke to in the store said "oh well at least the crumpets where youopened the pack don't look as bad as the ones near the unopened end:mad:   so have sent another letter about that0 -

I am thinking about complaining to Fuji about the camera that I bought from them, which I have had nothing but problems with since day one. Do you think it'll be worth the effort?!
It is always worth complaining about something like that - and, unless your handwriting is awful, I would always handwrite the complaint. It makes you look like less of a serial complainer! I think they respond better to a more personal looking letter as well. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I complained to Boots about the service in the Trafford Centre when I travelled all the way over from Huddersfield to buy a pushchair, said when i got there they had none in, they phoned me the following day to say they had three!
I wrote a letter via e-mail and received a £5 gift card! Better than saying "we're sorry" we'll ensure it won't happen again, cos we all know it will!

NoI complained about the lack of products on the shelves at our local Sainsbury on Sunday afternoons. I told them if they can't keep the shelves full on sundays they shouldn't open! I told them I was considering going back to tescos! I recieved a personal email and the name of the store manager so I could contact him should it happen again. Surprisingly they admitted there had been problems with stock at this time and offered me a £5 voucher! Actually I haven't received it yet! I'll have to get onto it.£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190

NoBought a pack of 4 Budweiser Silver in ASDA on Friday night, all Friday evening Husband and his mate were ill. I wasn't and the only thing they had different to me was the Bud...looked at the base of the can and it was 3 MONTHS out of date! Been back to ASDA and was given £25.00 in compensation and was told to take it to Head Office. I have a statement from the Duty Manager that they were 3 months out of date and were still on the shelves. What do you think I should say? Is there a Chief Exec I could write to?0

I've just found this thread. I don't consider it complaining if you recieve bad service.
I wrote to Clineque once as I use their clarifying lotion.
My daughter knocked it over and it emptied the whole bottle on my floor. I told then I thought it would diut the product better if it had a smaller hole in the top to avoid such problems.
They apologised sent a repalcement and a £25 voucher!!!0 -
Hi there, was hoping someone could help me. I have a set of GHDs which are 2 years old, and they actually set alight on saturday, with flames coming out of the cable. Has anyone else had this problem, or ever complained to GHD before.
Many Thanks0 -
A while ago that they GHD's were having problems with some setting alight. It happened to my friend she called them up and they replaced them free of charge. It was a fault to do with the cable. you will have no probs returning them!!!!
Good luck!!!0 -
NoI've been inspired by this thread and sadly it made me realise what rubbish servce we normally accept in this country.
I have complained about (with variable successes) the following:
1. A poor visit to Cadbury World where things weren't working and it was dirty etc. Result: Got a free family ticket and more importantly a full letter which addressed all the issues.
2. Complained to 3G about poor CS and also random changes to their T&Cs which mean I've ended up out of pocket (long story). Result: Rubbish call from their Indian call centre but have now written to CEO .. awaiting response
3. Letter to Premier Travel Inn praising lovely staff in hotel, but terrible service in attahced motorway services where we had to have breakfast. Result: Refund of money paid for breakfast and again more important, letter outlining how they had addressed the problem
4. Letter about a pair of shoes which fell to bits after a few wears Result: ongoing - have sent shoes back for inspection
5. Letter to Pizza Hut about shoddy service and poor hygiene REsult: None yet !
6. Letter to Kodak about a printer dock which chewed up two cartridges which should have printed 100 photos each and only printed 6 each before chewing up the roller! Plus being kept on hold for nearly half an hour to Technical Support several times and never getting to speak to anyone! Result: None yet
I just feel better for feeling "heard" and not just silently fuming!
xProud to be dealing with my debt!
