  • Hiya OD!

I think you need to get rid of your OH baggage! He's dragging you down!!!

I thought I would never meet anyone else after getting divorced six years ago. I wasn't even sure I really wanted another relationship - it took ages to get over the divorce (no kids thank goodness so a clean break was possible).

Four years ago, I signed up to an online site and in January last year I decided I would give it up - lots of frogs but no princes!! :D

Luckily, two weeks before my membership was up, and the day after my birthday last year - I met a prince - he's three years younger than me, an architect, solvent, is SO loving and thoughtful. We got engaged at New Year and we are getting married this summer!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D
  • That is a lovely ending to your search for a prince Angela!

How mad is it that my stomach feels like a washing machine? Will the pay slips arrive today? Won't they?

To explain why I need the change of car so desparately, I had a spinal cord injury in 2001 and I lost all sensation in my left leg from the knee down. It is like having a dead leg - but it is permanent. When I drive, I can't feel the clutch under my foot and I have to judge where the biting point is which is difficult when pulling away/doing a 3 point turn etc. I'm also in permanent pain in my lower back and in my leg due to the damage and can only drive 2 or 3 miles before the pain gets too much and my leg and foot gets 'tired'. When it happened my foot just 'hung' and it took a couple of years before I could walk on sand, in the woods. I can't wear any type of heel again as I have no balance (I literally just fall over!!!) which is why I like to collect flat pointy shoes!

There are three Mondeo's all for sale locally in garages around the £900 mark. All P reg, new shape ones, automatic which would be perfect. If I don't get the back pay, then I can't change cars until the unsecured debt is paid off and it is becoming more urgent as time goes on.

somebody walked in to have a chatter with me as I picked up the phone!!!! I was willing them to go!!!

The bank says they can't tell me as it doesn't show until their systems start to update tonight.

I told my OH last night that I was getting a bit paranoid that I might have it all wrong and I won't get any and he basically didn't believe me. He kept saying 'you know how much you will get, you know how to work it out', I said I wasn't sure where it would be worked out from and he wouldn't have it! He said 'well, how will payroll work it out?' and I said I didn't know because I didn't know if it was relevant from 2 years ago, 1 year ago, July 2006 or October 2006. In the end I said " I do NOT know how much I will be getting and I do NOT know how they work it out". And left it at that.
  • but you do really? ;)
