You should dump him yourself. Make you feel better about yourself, and maybe more able/willing to move on and leave the past behind.
He's not worth it. You are. Now think of what's holding you back and address it."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Have to agree with everyone else on the man front.
He doesent seem to do anything that he says he will ie witness statments, petrol in car, DIY, contribute to the grub he eats.........
It could well be time to move on...........

Oh yes! Please go for it. You are obviously worth so much more than what he gives you. You also seem to have lots of friends to go out with so I'm sure they'll help you get over the initial few weeks of maybe feeling down...

I have to agree. You seem to have to prop him up even at the times you need the support.

blimey..........sigh..........it keeps the issue top of my thoughts........My problem is that, and this is hard to describe, I just can't open my mouth and say 'there is a problem'........the reason I was able to finish with my XOH is because I had met my current OH and he kind of gave me the strength to do it - otherwise I would probably still be with my ex.
Anyway........believe me when I say it is not far away from my thoughts day to day........
Watched Spendaholics last night and wanted to shout at the TV. The guy was spending £850 a month on champagne and general socialising and was something like £36,000 in debt. He lived in a rented bedsit/flat and other than toiletries had nothing to show for it.
They gave him his new budget and his socialising spend for the month was £250!!!!!!!! That is still £62.50 a WEEK to spend on going out!!!! I couldn't believe it and he said himself he was surprised how much they were allowing him. If he was serious about paying it back (£20,000 owed to his parents) he needed to have the socialising budget cut even further......well, IMHO anyway.......
Tired today. Fell asleep on the sofa last night and woke up to some odd subtitled documentary about Cuban Olympic Boxers at 3.50am. Probably won't do any AQA today as I'm feeling very pooped.
Big vegetable, chick pea and lentil curry with rice tonight. I'm going to have a go at doing come chapatis with some of the flour I got in my little splurge the other night. Only tomorrow to go before I can hit the supermarket.
Getting more nervous about payday and the back pay malarkey. Payslips often arrive a day early so I might find out tomorrow.0 -

It sounds like fear - but fear of what? Fear of change? Fear of the unknown? Fear of being alone?
You're going to have to sit down and decide exactly what you do get from this relationship, and what you want from a relationship.
It is hard to walk off that cliff-edge that is "ending a relationship" without knowing what waits for you at the bottom. But I did it - and so can you. You have a number of advantages over me as far as self-sufficiency.
It was only when I was out of it that I *truly* realised how miserable I was. After it - people kept telling me how happy I looked..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
