oakdale, I'm a bit surprised. Do you not use VOUCHERS against your Tesco shopping??

No, they don't accept money off tokens anymore in my Tesco after the £1 Book club thingy last year where MSE'ers were having 100's sent in the post and they could be used in Tesco as often as everybody could get away with it (me included!). You have to buy the item that the token is for.

I don't use Clubcard Vouchers as I saved them for a year and converted them to £1150 worth of MFI vouchers. I'm having a much needed new fridge freezer and bedroom furniture delivered next month.

What's AQA? Seems like a good thing if you can make that much!

bad luck on that. There are 4 Tescoes between my house and work and only one that I rarely have to worry about offloading a few vouchers to.
You had me worried for a moment though, thought you didn't know. ;)

  • There are three here and none now take them :(

slowlyfading - this is AQA http://www.issuebits.com It is a lot of hours, I've done 53 hours this month on top of my full time job.

I'm £22 away from earning enough to clear my next CC, so I should be able to do that today with no problems.

I was thinking this morning what a saviour AQA has been. If I hadn't have been lucky enough to get on board when I did at the beginning of August, I would probaly have been in a similar mess to when I started out on my journey 6 months ago. Actually , no, not a mess, I would not have made the progress I've been able to achieve.

Without AQA, I probably would still be budgeting £120 a month for the supermarket and paying the minimum plus a tiny bit more on the CC's. The loan would still be at 10 years.......and god knows what the car situation would have been.

Although it seems that everything is coming together, I can't take my eye off the ball, to quote a cliche. I can't presume my bank charges are going to be refunded imminently, I can't presume that my job is secure (however bad it is at the moment) and I can't presume that nothing big is going to happen in the house which is going to need urgent repair.

I've still got a long way to go and still got many more days, weeks, months and years of looking at the monthly figures, checking the best prices on every item I buy at the supermarket and constantly making sure I'm not paying out for things I don't need to.

OH didn't help me with the witness statements - he didn't arrive from his friends until nearly midnight so I'm just going to get on and sort it myself.

Well, tut to that and thrice times piffle!

Wasn't this supposed to be his area of expertise? I hope he is worth it in whatever department you are not telling us about because he doesn't seem to be worth it in any other...

But were the snowballs worth it? You have to have a treat once in a while. You're doing really well on AQA, I nearly tried to join the last time they were recruiting and even got the first test through but I realised I struggle with time now so didn't. You're doing fab on it though. Well done and hope you have enough advocaat left for snowballs tonight xx

£529.10......phew.....enough earned on AQA to pay off the next CC......bit of a slog but I got there. Anything over that I earn for the last three days of the month I will put aside as spending money for my holiday in March.

The snowball was luvverly LJD. I only had one (large) glass (full) but I forgot so stir it and ended up with a gooey thick load of advocaat at the bottom of the glass which was a bit sickly.

    Plenty more left though!

Kat/GTD........no, he isn't worth it in that area either ......anyone fancy coming down and dumping him for me??
