As long as you report back what you did with it all!!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

It comes to £15.50, which is more than it would cost in the supermarket, but, I've been very, very careful this month and can budget for it. It also means I will get some bits I wouldn't normally buy, which I'm hoping means I'm starting to break one of the 'robotic' cycles I seem to have found myself in since taking the anti-depressants.
Well one of the things I don't skimp on is food. You are what you eat, and you might as well be made from good, wholesome things than cheep crap recycled from a bird-food factory.
Actually, I'm starting to come to the conclusion cheap stuff in general isn't worth it in terms of time and aggravation. The only thing I need to do now is to be able to reliably tell the difference between quality stuff that's inexpensive, and cheap crap that's dear..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I agree. I often think that supermarket organic isn't worth paying the extra for. I watched a feature a while ago and there are lots of ways of being able to get 'organic' legitimately on packaging - particularly with things like fruit juice.
Neighbour popped round to say that her son-in-law will replace the fence that fell over last week when the weather gets a bit better. I thought it was my responsibility but I'm guessing not. I'll still offer to help though, I guess I should offer to pay half. I've never been very good with boundaries/fences etc, i've never really got what the etiquette is for who pays what.
I feel very in control today. I feel very positive about my position financially. I worked out in my head last night that once I get my bank charges back it will free up another £84 a month. This is what I'm paying on my last two CC's and as they will be paid off, then I will have this money spare on my budget.
And I need £80 a month to be able to reduce my secured loan by another year down to 4 years.
Warmed up the car this morning first and it drove ok. Started to look at automatics last night and if I spend around £800 or so I can get something like a 1995 Mondeo. I used to have a mondeo as a company car years ago, and I'd be happy to have one again. And there is a Carlton for sale at a garage as well locally........only 80,000 on the clock, it looks lovely.....I'd definitely have another one of those!
What I'm going to do is when I get my back pay next Wednesday (woohoo) keep it separate until I need to get the car. If something comes up, I'll buy it and then sell the VW. I should easily get the money back on the VW, which will make the amount I invest in a replacement car even less.0 -

normal etiquette regarding fences it you own the one on the left.... at the end of the day if the fence is on the boundary it can be a joint business, if its to one side or other, then who evers land it is on owns it......
i recently put a new fence up half way down my garden on my land as the b@ggers next door wouldnt deal with their wall tha fell down and murdered loads of plants........
just wait til the summer when i finish it..... ha hasmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

aaaah, then it will be mine then.......cheer for that......She is very house proud next door and I do feel guilty that there is a missing fence panel! About 6 months ago, I scraped the side of the back bumper of the Carlton on the bottom of the wall and a bit of paint fell off (on my side) when I was reversing down the driveway. By the time I came home she had re-painted it!!!!!! She is nice though, so I'll make sure that it all gets done fairly.0

Just had a big shock. I thought my salary had gone up to £25,818 from £24,342. Pulled last months pay slip out of my drawer and it has actually gone up to £28,542!!!!
My head is hurting as to what that means back pay wise. I'm too scared to even think it might be loads!!! I think maybe I will get a little bit for the two years of increments I'm owed and maybe I then just got a big jump, but I won't be owed any back pay.
Blimey. I'm now excited (in case it is loads!) and scared (in case I've really messed up and don't even get a few hundred!) about pay day next week!!!!0 -
