I just want to add my good wishes to all the others. You are doing absolutely fantastic with everything. Keep your chin up and keep at it.

Oh and what happened with the David Beckham thing, did you get something signed to ebay?

    Hello :D

Thankyou for the good wishes. It is soooo good to have all these fab people!

Well, the kids loved the David Beckham day. They were given lunch and a bit of a tour of the academy, there is loads of Beckhams' stuff there displayed. He turned up and gave them a talk about being famous and wanting to get back in the England side and how he is dropping some of his sponsorship deals to concentrate on his football. He had a chat with the lad who my OH took up with the broken collar bone which went down very well!!! The adults were told they couldn't ask him about his thoughts on being dropped from the England team (it had only just happened the previous day I think)

The kids got a bag of freebies, I think a branded top if I remember and a ball and some other bits. There were no autographs unfortunately. All thekids had their photo taken with him, and they get a free team photo but will have to pay for the individual ones if they want them. They all enjoyed it - a good story for the three little ones to go back to school with!!

I am shattered. I emailed my boss on Friday to see if I could extend my leave for a couple of days to spend some time with my sister but there was no reply :(

I got my Tesco MFI vouchers yesterday - can't spend them in Tesco now!!! A lovely £1150 worth of MFI tokens, very nice!!!

Am up to £80 on AQA so far this month (last two days) I get paid my August money on Wednesday, it will be whizzed straight over to pay stuff off.

Will I have the guts to cut up the CC I'll be paying off this month????? I thought about putting it in a takeaway tub with water and freezing it. I've not used it since I maxed it and I've been paying the minimum each month, so I really should cut it up as the limit is only 475.

I loved the idea of putting your credit card in a takeaway tub of water and putting it in the freezer. That's a classic. I took our joint account card and when it asked if I want to change the pin number I said yes and then pressed the numbers without looking. My hubby has a card and I just guessed this would stop me squandering money. Haven't used it for about two months and, guess what, I have less crap in the house! Lol.

  • Back at work.........groan.........

Boss from hell is falling apart through total lack of organisation and there is a very very faint chance that she won't have the annual report ready for the annual meeting two weeks today.` It should be almost ready to go to printby now and I don't think there has been a full proof yet!!! I am clinging to this little glimmer of light for all it is worth, it is a legal obligation to have it ready......oh, please don't have it ready.........

Citicards have applied to have the judgement removed and to have a 'set aside' which gives them time (again) to put in th defence. It's just abusing the court system really, it will probably drag it out even longer.

I really thought I might get a court date for my first Abbey claim today, I might ring the court tomorrow to see what the score is.

Checked my bank account this morning. Oh boy, its going to be tight this month. There is still £346 left, but there is £45 for NTL, £100 for the court fee cheque and the other £200 is for my OU fees. I've got a cheque for £40 on its way from greasypalm and I get £25 mid month from TNS for a mystery shop, but it is going to be mighty tight unless I do some shopping on the CC in a couple of weeks. I'll see how I go. Take a day at a time.

Hang on in there OM. Hope the boss from hell fails to to do the statutory! As long as it won't impact badly on you!

  • it seems somehow she might sort it. Bum. She was derogatory and condescending again to me in the team meeting and when i came out ,the other person who attends put her arm round me and said 'to be honest I thought you might have spent your week off last week looking for a new job'.......so I guess others can see how she is with me!

I'm going to put my CV on monster.co.uk and see if anything happens.I just wish I was financially in a position to take a cut in salary. Even when I've cleared the unsecured debt I'm going to decrease mysecured term down to five years so the money will just get chucked straight at that debt instead. I'm stuck. :(

My capital one court claim has changed to 'acknowledged' so I guess I will hear something from them soon.
  • AQA money in the bank this morning! :j

    NEXT Paid in full!
    Mint CC Paid in full!!
    OU fees Paid in full!!!
    Woohoo!!!!!!! :T

There is now £200 in my a/c. I need to keep £100 for the AQ cheque and the other £100 I am going to keep in there until I get my greasypalm money and my mystery shopping . That will give m about £165 left. I will pay off the bits I'd put on my other CC last month (£138) and then have a very tight last couple of weeks in September.

Currently on target to hit £600 for the end of September. Next CC fully in the firing line to clear!

  • ta beanielou :) It was the quickest I've seen £900 disappear from my bank account! the balance read £1100 ish and the little devil did for a second go 'ooooooooooohhhhhh........money.....mmmmmmmm.......spend.......' but I walloped him and got on the phone to the OU to pay off my fees and then back online to clear NEXT and Mint before he could recover!

other news today - passed my last OU essay for the year. A pants score of 47%, but hey, I really wasn't hoping to get much more and am still embarrassed by how bad it was. That means I've passed the overall assessment part and now have to get over 40% in the exam. GULP.

Capital One have written and said they will refund me £72 by way of cheque for my claim for my old closed account. I've replied, well £72 is fine, but I'm not stopping proceedings until you give me the full £400 odd I'm claiming.

Mint CC is in a takeaway tub half filled with water in the freezer. At the beginning of October when AQA money pays to clear the next one, it will go on top of the ice and the tub filled to the top!
