Well, postie has been. nothing from them. I reckon I'll be looking to hire a big hard looking bloke to take to Citicards to put the frighteners on them! :rotfl:

Ta. It's pants to be honest. I almost emailed him to apologise in advance :o

I get 30p a question, and you can doo whatever hours you fancy. It suits me because I'm always online even in my spare time so it's just up my street!

I'll keep you in mind Ali the next time strawberry tarts are 10p a box.....all the 3 packs of ciabatta rolls were 10p in Asda last night so I grabbed 4 lots. Not quite the same as strawberry tarts though I guess!

I'm making plum crumble later. I was very naughty on Saturday. I went to my old house to pick up Charlie (my dog) to take him for a walk (strange joint custody thing with the ex, but it works). He wasn't in and I went into the back garden after the dog's walk to hit a ball around for a bit (my dog is loony for tennis, even after a walk) and I noticed that the normally sad looking plum tree had loads of very ripe plums on them.........one carrier bag and a bit of precarious stretching later, and guess what I have in my fridge??? Ok, naughty I know, but he hates plums and every year they just fall and rot. And I found a packet of value custard mix in the cupboard, so a very cheap pudding tonight!!

    (fancy some Ali?!)

em will pass on that thanks - is my birthday so have some of this quick before the rest eat it all:

    7_4_15.gif

Decided to treat myself to a nice lunch for my birthday, and cos I've had good news as well - but MSE took over - ended up with corned beef & mushrooms baked with home made tartar sauce 29_3_13.gif tasted nice at the time but is now repeating on me.....

I said it tasted nice at the time but is now repeating on me..... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: LOL, love that joke!!!!!!!

oooooh, I did it............I pressed Judgement by Default on my Citicards claim........

Iwant to have a mooch round MFI to have another look at the ranges, and I've been offered free plums on freecycle (ones I don't have to pinch!!!) but I haven't got enough petrol , I've told my OH I need some but that won't happen until tomorrow so I guess I'll be spending the day around the house, on here, on AQA etc...........of course I could do some gardening  ........but that is going a bit far!!!!

I KNEW something would scupper my £250 spare cash for next month.

I've had the expected 50% offer from the Abbey for my second claim. A lovely £1,992. mmmmmmmm.............tempting..........but obviously it will be a 'no' and I'll hang on for the rest.

However, the next stage is the allocation questionnaire and because the amount I'm claiming is over £1500 , there is a £100 fee. Yuck. I get it back when I win, but until then I have to bear the cost.

So I'll now only have £150 spare cash next month and £40 or so of that won't arrive until mid month from greaspalm. Ouch, ouch ouch ouch.

And my sister and brother in law are staying next week so I've upped the shopping I'm having delivered tomorrow. OUCH.

It will be tempting to keep back £50 or so from AQA.

    Oh, bum.

    I know.........sigh.......

It hurt like hell putting the £100 cheque in the envelope. I know I'll get i back eventually, but it won't be for a couple of months I don't think.

I guess this is where people start accepting offers from the banks. I emailed the solicitor and she has acknowledged my rejection. It was a hell of a lot of money to turn down. Gulp.

OH gave me his CC this morning so I have petrol in the car now. might go to MFI tomorrow. The 20% sale has been extended so I'm going to be waiting a bit longer until I can order my bedroom stuff.

    Hiya
I've just been catching up with your diary. Sorry if this has already been answered but what are you studying and who with? I only ask as i'm doing a degree with the OU and am obviously studying hard as I type this!

I laughed out loud with the thought of you taking the plums and just hope the custard was found in your cupboard and not the ex's! Don't blame you having 'joint' custody. I did that with a cat that I shared with an ex. Mad but true!

Yuk about sending off a cheque for £100...cheer yourself up by grabbing some cheapo cakes!

    Take care xx

hi LJD - I'm doing an MA with the Open University in Media and Culture Studies. I really hope it does me some good, my job is related so I can get back 50% each year from my employers (NHS, I have to be grateful for what I can get from them!!!). I've given myself until 2010 to do that as well. This is my first year, and it's a 30 point module. Next year is a 60 point one, twice as much work. Gulp.

Yes, the custard was in my cupboard!!!!!

the crumble was lush. There was lots of sauce left when I stewed the fruit so there are two tubs of it in the freezer.

It is a bizare arrangement with my doggy, but it works.

Good idea about the cakes...........at least I'll know who to blame when I can't get my work skirt done up on Monday!!!! :rotfl:

    Glad the crumble was good!

My first course with the OU was a 60 pointer, i think i've got 90 points now and am starting a 30 point level two course in November. Mine is work related (health studies) but as i'm self employed I don't get any money back! Shame as it's quite expensive. Enjoy your time off till the next tma!
