  • just come across this thread and i hope you read the reply. I have found that the £5.00 saving stamps you can buy from the post office can be very helpful towards your car tax to avoid paying out £120 in one go.

... and good luck from me. Will be thinking of you - I do hope it goes well.
  • hi ho, hi ho, it's off to court I go.............gulp...........confidence.......confidence......

I was hoping my OH would have called me last night from his Dad's place where he was staying with his DS for the night, just to say good luck or ask if there was anything last minute he could help with. He didn't and I did need to ask something about a last minute letter from the court. Oh well, I'll see how I get on!!!!!

I think my Thorntons choccies arrive today........yum.........
  • I'm back!

I got an adjournment which is fine. The Judge was extremely fair and knowledgable and the solicitor sent was a nice guy. We had to wait an hour before going in and I learnt his whole life story!!! It will go back to court in April unless agreement is reached between the two of us.

    My choccies are here..........mmmmmmmmmmmm.........

Did the solicitor guy not say on the phone earlier that they would settle rather than go back to court again if it were to be adjourned?

So surely that means that you have won doesn't it, or are you just not counting your chickens yet.....?

Glad it went well. Hope they settle, for the full sum of course, before it's back in court.
