Hi OM
I'm supposed to be working on my essays today, but just had to catch up on your thread first!
Guilty and Thornton's should never be used in the same sentence - especially by you! You deserve a little treat.
And I agree with Angeladavis above - get yourself a hobby that gets you out of the house - it will help your confidence as well (even tho' it's noticeably on the up already!!)

Hey OM,
One of my 'parents' gave me a gorgeous box of Hotel Chocolat dark chocolates for my brithday last week and they are HEAVEN! I never used to be a chocolate fan until I was pregnant with DD 5 years ago-now I love the stuff, sigh. Have started back on the diet today and was busting out of all my clothes.
Where are you off to on holiday?
Perhaps this will give you the final push to be OH free...

hi, i looked at your new s.o.a and noticed your water costs. i have no idea if this is high or not as in scotland it is included in your council tax. anyway have you put a brick in your cistern as this will reduce the amount of water used per flush?
also noticed you are on ntl, my dad recently got six months free broadband as he phoned to ask how much notice he had to give to cancel as he was planning on moving to a new provider and they offerred him this - might be worth a try?
i agree about the hobby or evening class this would be a great way to meet new friends and get a better social life. since you sound like a fabulous cook have you thought about running your own cookery class? i think apprentice tycoon on the old style board had mentioned doing something similar, it might be worth finding out how she was going to go about it. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
Good morning OM.
I hope you are well, and cruella is keeping out of your way.
Thornton's, mmmmmm. I wouldn't have been able to resist.
I think that chardonnay's idea about running a cookery course is a wonderful idea. Your thoughts?
To tell the truth, I am a bit worried about this holiday. I remember you booking it - cheap local flights - March - Spain, wasn't it?
Your comment about not looking forward to it is troubling me. You deserve this holiday and it is sad to see that it might become another hurdle to overcome, rather than the celebration it should be.
If I have read too much into it, feel free to chastise me. If not, try and tell us exactly how you feel and the situation, ie if you can't withdraw the "gift", could OH take his son? Would you feel better at home? (Not that you should be the one to stay behind, but I would understand if you did).
Remember "there is a guy who really likes me" from 17 Sept? I know that "it wouldn't have been a 'goer' anyway", but it proves that there are other fish in the sea.

Hi o_m,
I've lurked on your thread since the beginning when you first posted and can only echo what others have said about your growing confidence and what a fantastic person you are. I am so in awe of you, how you spend your time (cooking, baking, AQA, chasing money owed) when I struggle to get out of bed in the morning or to work up the energy to paint my toenails!
I just wanted to wish you luck in court tomorrow, I will be rooting for you and with your recent run of good luck - hopefully it'll all go your way! I'll be thinking of you!
Love

chardonnay - like the idea about the brick in the cistern! I've priced up a water meter in the past and (unless i'm doing it wrong)it doesn't seem to come out much cheaper. I've also had about 3 offers from NTL over the last couple of years, after I've threatened to leave. They didn't offer me one this time, so I just went down to their cheapest package available.
polki - never thought about running a cookery course! It could be advertised as Masterchef Masterclass!!
The holiday - weird, I just can't get excited about it. I go two weeks tomorrow and I've hardly really thought about it really. I need to do come clothes shopping this weekend. When we go away we always seem to end up drinking etc where he wants and we often end up wandering around for ages until he sees a bar he likes the look of. Luckily, as we have been to the same place in the past, he will know where his 'favourites' are already. We are off to Benidorm. Hardly exotic, but the flights got from here to Alicante and the beach is lovely. I wouldn't want to go in the Summer as it would be packed, but it will be ok I think.
Faced Cruella twice yesterday and came away thinking - silly cow. I just stared her straight in the eye and managed to keep up the assertive act during each meeting. I don't think she was quite sure how to handle me. I came out of the first meeting with my back teeth hurting and I realised I had sat for nearly an hour with my back teeth clenched together trying to keep focused.
OH is away tonight up North with his son. He will be back tomorrow night.
Court tomorrow for my citicards hearing. Must get my thoughts together tonight although I know the basics of what Iwant to say. I do predict it will be adjourned again as the court is doing them in batches by bank so Ican't see him letting the solicitor launch a fully fledged case. Suits me as when I spoke to Citis solicitor this week he said if it was adjourned again, he would settle.
Only spent 97p today and have £5.67 of my £10 Moozie Sunday to Friday Challenenge money left. with my OH away and facing two days of annual leave, i've fighting the urge to buy a bottle of wine and get a takeaway.
I have to switch off the fridge freezer tonight to deforst and clean for the person from freecycle who is collecting it tomorrow night. I have loads of roast chicken to use up and the new MSE/DFW O_M can't bear to chuck the food away and get a takeaway!0 -

Good luck for tomorrow!!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
