Not quite brave enough to do the other three yet, but I'll get there!
Edit: also closed my Littlewoods and La Redoute accounts! Simply Be and Empire Stores next!

I nearly killed my mini chopper thingy yesterday blitzing chocolate for the chocolate and beetroot cake - slight burning motor smell!!! Probably best I don't subject it to a credit card!!! I chopped them all up and I ended up with a kind of plastic confetti, looked very pretty!
Know what you mean about the post - i should get so much less junk mail (as well as no statements hitting the mat each month!)
Posted off the letter for the £290 worth of bank charges I found the other day.
Had loads of calls about the car, but I'm happy about who I sold it to.
Must do some AQA today. Everything over the last couple of weeks has wiped me out a bit and I've only done £35 on AQA!! Although I technically don't 'need' the money in the same sense as over the last few months, I want to keep up the momentum just in case I do get made redundant - every penny will count.
Somerfield had loads of fresh whole chickens reduced to 70 to 80p each the day before yesterday so I bought 5 of them and rammed them all in the freezer.
As my new 'free' fridge freezer from MFI arrives Friday, I think chicken is going to be on the menu quite regularly this week......0 -
HI OM,
As I've told you before I had a bullying boss IT mgr (and his friends who mobbed me, including the HR Mgr's, 1 HR officer, H&S officer, 3rd in charge of the workplace, anothe IT guy, Equal Opp person - I fall into the DDA cat and a few others indeed all the rest of the IT dept) wasn't a nice experience, just hoping to hear about the karma but doubt I'll ever do  I didn't get the backing off the union but did off the solicitor (had to pay for it though but worth every penny). The last time I saw my bully he was cowering in where my office was - oh they stopped me having my own office and put me in a box, so if anyone has realised who I am they'll now realise why I left.
Actually went on to start seeing one of the lads from where I used to work at but he was so petrified of his boss finding my car at his, I dumped him, twice, he wouldn't stand up to a bully and he reminded me a bit too much of my freeloading ex.
Have been working regularly for the same place since August 3 months as a temp, then the last 4 on a fixed term contract and was offered the post permanently this week (then had another interview to attend) I'm hoping that I got the second one but at least I have a plan B otherwise.
I've took a substantial drop but if I get the second one I will be texting the ex OH / colleague to tell him to say thanks to the idiots who bullied me out of my job as I'd be on a much better wage than most of them basic, and seem to be really nice people. OK I'd be relocating but if I stay in current job I will be relocating to NZ by end of year I think anyway - if my current bosses do read this please do not give me ideas of going with family on their trip in October or I will be handing in my notice before I go.
My colleagues now wished me all the best for other interview but then said we don't want you to go, thought I was on Who wants to be a millionaire!0 -

I'll get there I think...he said a very hurtful comment this morning and it hasn't gone out out my head yet
Realised I'm in court for citicards on Thursday. Need to start getting my thoughts together with it.0 -
I had a thought this morning. As your back pay came to 4k does your OH not now think that you have become DF? AFAIR you had only told him about the unsecured so he's got no idea that you still have 3-5 years left of the slog?Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

No Kaz, he doesn't know of the secured debt. He knows that the unsecured is paid off but doesn't know of the other. I do feel bad about that in a way as I know lots of people will say it is unfair for him not to know, but he went mental at the unsecured amount when he found out. We have no joint finances but I do feel guilty about not telling him. It's another reason why I want it paid off, just so it isn't a secret hanging over me.
Although saying that, I have no idea what he owes on his CC, I never know how much he is paid each month and I sometimes wonder how he pays his mortgage each month as seems to do very little paid work.
I do feel that it is like we are travelling along next to each other but on rail tracks that rarely come together.
He hasn't mentioned the bank charges court case on the 22nd and I was really hoping for some help as it is citicards and they are turning up to most of the hearings. His DS has an interview at two Universities in the North on the 21st and 22nd and he is taking him up there. He has spent every night for the last three and a half weeks online trying to find out how to fix that damn Rover and he is now obsessed with finding the code online for the radio that is in the car as is locked at the moment.
I've heard the PC whirring into action at 7 in the morning and then as soon as he arrives in the evening he is on it and then straight after dinner until about 11. when I heard him turn it on last night as he arrived I asked if he could spend the evening with me. He scowled and I said I was sure he wouldn't be impressed if I had spent the last three weeks working until 11 on AQA every night. He watched the TV but was twitchy all night.0 -

Hi lulu, I know, I'm stupid really. I've really slackened off the AQA this month, but I'm only doing that as a way of getting a bit of normality back into life. I'll be back onto it as normal from next month. He knows that I was doing as much as possible so it made the unsecured debts go down quicker.
I just couldn't do it. I couldn't take the grief to be honest, especially after the last few months from Cruella.
To be honest though I'm not sure how much longer we will last anyway and if we do split, then I'll be in a position to re-look at everything financially.
sorry, you're all probably thinking badly of me now......0 -
Hi O_M
I've just come back from a couple of days away, and your thread was the first thing I looked for when I logged on!!
I know I'm repeating what everyone else has said, but please, please, please give some serious thought to ditching your OH. I do understand that there's a lot going on, but you seem to be absolutely on top of it all, and he seems to be the final thing you need to sort out. Lets face it, you dealt with Cruella - why not apply the same principles to him??
Why not make a list of what he does that enriches your life, and another of what he takes from your life - maybe you need to see it in black and white to help make your decision.....
Just my 2p - you seem such a wonderful person, who clearly is far too good for him!!
Hugs and best wishes
