    HI OM

Just a quick post to say congratulations :j . So glad to hear the good news.

Glad you didn't get a Rover, the 2 out of 3 smashes I've had have been with them (hitting me) don't know what the other one was as it didn't leave anything!

With the last smash, as we knew who hit me (neighbour! "didn't see me as he had 9 bags of rubbish in the car" could of been his 5 yo neighbour walking behind him) was allowed a courtesy car, was expecting a Corsa or similar sized vehicle, (drive an Audi estate), so insurance company were telling me that I'd get a prestige car, diesel and would I mind an automatic? As they didn't get many of that spec in. Agreed to get transport....

Well, 2 days later they turned up in this Merc, estate, automatic and diesel (was nice) was cheekily asked could they trust me with this, I asked them why did they bring me a hearse? (It was black).

Jumped in and the car had only got 80 miles on clock  delivery milage only - was returned a month later (took that long to sort out my car  ) with over 1200 on the darn thing :D , was nice but went through diesel a bit more than mine does. Well, I had to show it off a bit didn't I!

Enjoy it and hope that OH doesn't sulk too much KG

    Hi O_M

Just got back from a couple of days in Scotland and caught up with your diary. Wow what a difference a day makes. Great news on the Bank charges and the right car in the end. Nearly DF. Amazing

  • I don't want to be at work today, I mean REALLY don't want to be at work. I was almost crying driving to work. I'm sick of every single day wondering if I'm going to be told off for something non-existent.

For some weird reason it pushes all the lovely events of the last few days into a shadow.

I'm going to seriously start looking for another job.

Maybe today is your job lightbulb moment?

Good luck and go with your instincts. How about going to an agency to see what they have in the way of temp work for the moment. You stay in control that way and would be able to continue looking for something better/permanent.

Stay strong. When you get to work write down on a post it note all the good things that have happened this week. Put it somewhere where you can see it and allow yourself a little smile because of it. I bet Cruella hasn't got £8000 and a new car in the last few days.....

Not a weird reason at all. You spend a third of your life at work, and it is the basis on which a great deal more of your life is paid with. It is important, and deep problems such as this do have an impact.

Hi OM - just catching up on the weekend's posts and am thrilled to see you have bought a car - it sounds lovely :j

Sorry you feel so down about work, its a shame as everything else seems to be going well at the moment. I am in a job I hate as well so I am seriously considering my options at the moment.

    Hi OM,

As one of my old colleague used to say don't let the (insert expletive) get you down. I know it's easier said than done, as I've said before I had 2 years of sheer hell at the mercy of a workplace bully, but have been out of that situation nearly 9 months now, and still trying to get a decent enough job to be able to leave my parents place.

As I've mentioned before look at some agencies and stick your CV on them, most of them are free and if you stick some of the "in words" nowadays it may stick out enough to get an agency to start calling you - I get these occaisionally myself, some I've got to apply for myself - got one phone tomorrow (it was supposed to be Friday but got postponed as the interviewer was running late out of a meeting).

At the end of the day it's not going to cost you anything (just time for your CV which you'd be doing anyway) and sticking it on a few agencies websites.

Good luck and as others have said, look how much you've accomplished this year never mind the last week.
