    Hi everyone!

    been a lurker/reader for a while thought I would finally post :)

Have just applied for the grant for my 9yr old son. Had the form since Feb but have had a huge mess up with tax credits so only managed to post it all off 2 days ago, really hope we are lucky as we could do with a new computer as this one is on its way out.

Got my home access grant today for the full value £538,:j took about 3 weeks in total, easy application form, helpful staff.

Lucky you! I got my documents back on 11th Feb and was told I would hear in 10 days. It's over 3 weeks now and I have been toild they are so snowed under they cannot give me any idea if or when I will hear. Poeple I told about AFTER I applied already have their computers. I have been told there is nothing wrong with my documents and we are eligible but we just seem to be stuck in the system. So frustrating!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Just had to re-send the application form as we filled it out in my name rather than the wifes (as to be the wifes as she is named on the child benefit) that took them two weeks to tell us that.
They scanned the award letter so we just changed the details over the the wifes and should hear back within three weeks.

My Niece has a lovely surprise coming Monday then (hopefully) :j

I'm grateful to the government for giving such an opportunity to kids, a laptop can be a really effective learning tool when used appropriately :)

  • Hi, was wondering if anyone could help with my small problem. Received Samsung R519 today from Misco. Have been trying to log into Misco support to change administration settings. Password "misco" does not work. Have tried to phone support number given and was put on hold and it has eaten my last £4.01 phone credit. Anyone have the answer or a different password suggestion?
    Many thanks
