Sister ordered her laptop from xma on friday, received it today. Helped her to set it up. Was taking ages to download updates through T-mobile dongle so i bought it home and used my Virgin wireless which speed up things.

Are these mobile dongles slow in downloading etc?

T-mobile say my area will not receive a signal yet it works.

One thing i noticed is that the T-mobile dongle is set up to stop any over 18 websites, youtube, facebook etc from downloading. You have to input your credit card to prove you are over 18 or pop into T-mobile shop to remove the restriction from the T-mobile dongle/broadband.

Those who got their package from XMA was the seal on the laptop box broken?

the dongle are only good for watching youtube, normal browsing like facebook, emails etc, downloading updates isnt good for the dongle due to the speed etc plus it could eat into the download allowance, id use a wired connection to get updates or use your wireless connection

My daughter's laptop arrived yesterday at 4pm, set up by 5pm, half an hour later daughter trips and pours half a pint of cola over the keyboard!! She is devastated to say the least and i've finally stopped swearing...

So although it will power up, some of the keys wont type but others will - have tried drying it with a hairdryer etc to no avail. A replacement keyboard would be about £25 but cannot find how to change keyboard of the r519 as it doesnt have the usual access at top of keyboard. Any ideas please?

    Aww, no! :(

I hope you can get it sorted.

Is it worth calling the supplier and asking how much they would charge? It would probably be a stupid amount but you never know...

If it is not repairable are you covered by your house insurance? I feel so sorry for your daughter what a shame :(
