Married my best friend 15/4/160 -
Just to let you all know, I ordered the Samsung R519 from Centerprise on 31/1. I got fed up of waiting for it to arrive so cancelled the order on 10/2 & asked them to refund the money onto the card which they did.
I then ordered the same laptop from Misco which arrived yesterday, I couldnt get connected using the 3 dongle so rang them & they talked me through how to resolve the problem & I was connected within 5 minutes.
The laptop is great & was very easy to set up, just plug it in to charge the battery & then you are ready to go.
I chose Misco because they have free tec support & good opening hours.
I chose this laptop over a netbook because we will be using the disk drive & the keyboard is easier to use.
The 3 connection isnt good where I live but its OK for general use, (couldnt get T mobile at all) I tried to download a file recommended by school but it was taking too long & couldnt be completed.
I was very dissappointed with Centerprise but cant recommend Misco & this Samsung highly enough.0 -
I have just recieved my documents back (posted the claim pack tuesday, so quite quick.) How long did it take most people to find out if they had been awarded after they recieved their documents back? I'm a bit worried,as when I tried to get an updated CB letter they refused-said they had been inundated with requests and that since friday 5th Feb the home access grant people had been told they had to accept the Dec 2008 letter as that was the time most people would have recieved a CB letter (when the rates went up.) I explained that in the letter, and they haven't commented on my letter being older than 12 months but I am worried they may throw the whole claim out over it? My oldest boy is so excited at the prospect of maybe having his own laptop-as at the moment, he has to share with his stroppy 8 year old brother (who is autistic and doesn't share well).
This is such a great offer, but I can't imagine what it's cost the govt. I do wish they had opened it out to low income/earning families as well-it does seem so unfair that there are hard working families out there who are very close to the poverty line but can't claim a computer for their kidsEven if they had given half the amount to low income earners maybe?
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0 -

We sent our Dec 08 letter after phoning them, they said that they had been told to accept them so I wouldn't worry.
Received the notification of grant the day after the CB letter was returned0 -
has anyone ordered from positive it? i ordered my samsung on friday with 2 year broadband.0

i got mine from positive it was fantastic, came really quickly and i used their tech help on the day as i couldnt find the netintelligence ... i just didnt wait long enough or needed to turn off and turn back on or something anyway it came on while i was talking to the guy
depending what time you ordered it it should come monday or tuesday i would say... make sure you are in cos the dhl guy isnt allowed to leave it with your neighbour you have to be in. the only thing was tho is that although you get 2 yrs broadband the monthly allowance on my dongle is only 2gb per month instead of 3gb which it seems to be with other suppliers, it should only take a month to try and work out what that means to yuor surfing everyday, my daughter is on it ALL the time and we have had it 12 days now and she is still connected (they disconnect you for the rest of the month i think once you use your monthly allowance)
the samsung is a really nice laptop tho and all you need to do really is charge it and set this net intelligence and you are awayCompers challenge 2024 wins!!!!.... Oct £60... £10 free spins, £50 palm, m&m pouch0
